bed and breakfast of charm in provence, the ideal place for a romantic weekend. You can take at leisure your meals on the terrace under pines, in the middle of Nature . Come to relax in the swimming pool : spring water, and warmed from may to beginning of october. There is a shared kitchen and dining room with a little fitness room. Be welcome

Reviewed By CBJJWWe spent a wonderful week here from late May to early June. La Bastide is a beautiful old house in huge grounds full of trees and with views of the mountains. We stayed in the Indigo room which is at one end of the house. Our bedroom was a good size, rustic in decor and very pretty. There was not a lot of storage space for clothes and, being on a two week French holiday we’d bought quite a lot with us. However we were able to use the adjacent bedroom cupboard to hang things, as this room is included with the Indigo room so was not occupied. The bathroom was superb; very modern with a huge walk-in shower that worked very well. Flo and Ben are lovely hosts. They both speak English but as we are in the process of learning French they encouraged us to speak to them in this language and it was a most useful learning process for us. They are really friendly people and made us so welcome, taking a lot of time to stop and chat, including inviting us for aperitifs one evening. Yet they also gave us a lot of privacy. Flo and Ben have put many little seating places, hammocks, tables and even bedsteads around the grounds of La Bastide giving guests a huge range of places to relax, depending on whether you are looking for sun or shade, somewhere to sit quietly and read or just lie and snooze. They gave us a lot of advice on places to visit and also on good places to eat in the evening and Flo was kind enough to make reservations for us on several occasions. If you prefer to self-cater there is a well equipped kitchen which is shared between guests, but with each room having its own fridge and food storage area. The pool is quite large and very nice to swim in. It is kept very clean. We had breakfast by the pool each morning: fresh bread and pastries with preserves made by Flo’s mother and fruit juice with a choice of tea or coffee, apart from one morning when Ben treated us to his homemade crepes, which were delicious! The surroundings of the house are very peaceful and we slept well every night. The little town of Roquebrussanne is within walking distance and the auberge there does extremely good French food. Finally we could not write a review without mentioning Oslo, Flo and Ben’s gorgeous (and slightly mischievous) puppy who also played his part in making us welcome. Thank you, all three of you, for making our holiday so enjoyable.

Reviewed By theoldwhalinghouseThis is a great place for young families on a budget: five minutes’ walk from the charming village of La Roquebrussanne, whose streets are almost too narrow for a donkey to pass through, let alone a car, and in relatively easy reach of the coast. The property has wonderful views of the Var and a great swimming pool. But it’s very DIY, no frills, while ticking all the boxes of location, location…

Located in a Provencal village in the Var, in the heart of vineyards and unspoiled nature, La Maison d'En Haut en Provence will charm you with its tranquility and serenity. Each bedroom have a theme based on Air, Water and Earth and are decorated with care. They benefit from an independent entrance from the garden with a private terrace, an individual bathroom and toilets and a very comfortable double bed (160). Breakfast is included as well as access to the heated swimming pool and the summer kitchen. Free outdoor parking is located outside the property.
