Perfect except for the WiFi.
Reviewed By 466mrsNice and clean, quiet. Staff was excellent. The one issue we had was with the WiFi coverage. We even had to change rooms just to get a minimal signal. It's hard to believe that a facility this nice has such pitiful WiFi. Thankful we didn't pay for upgraded Internet speed. The poor WiFi coverage would have still been unusable.

Not worth the money
Reviewed By samara tThis was our second visit to Sage Hill Inn. Our first was about 6 years ago and we loved it so much that we came back for a special birthday getaway. However, this visit wasn’t as great as our first. I’ll start with what is great at this place because it is really nice. The place is gorgeous with great views. Lots of cute places to sit and hang out and look at the views. Nice hiking trails on the property. Love the intimate dining room. Staff were all extremely nice. Now for the not so good…….we paid up to have the casita experience with the private pool and hot tub. Upon arrival our pool was obviously dirty with dirt and debris at the bottom. There was also a stained scum ring around the pool. Same with the hot tub. Debris at the bottom, green algae floating in it, and the same scum ring around the water level. The hot tub cover needs to be replaced. Small bits of the inside of the cover were floating in the hot tub. We asked that it be cleaned after finding this and we were told that the pool guy would be there at 10 am TOMORROW. Very annoying. Next day, no pool guy but we saw the manager and told him about it. He said he’d take care of it but it was still dirty when we went back. Needless to say we did not use either pool or hot tub. In fact, we never saw the “pool guy” the entire time we were there. We were compensated a small amount when we left but not nearly what we payed up for staying at the casitas. Additional details that bothered us…. Only one wine glass in the room. Only one robe in the room. Baseboards were dirty. Walls scuffed and needed painting. Shower gel/shampoo holder falling off the wall. Windows that looked out to the view were dirty. Again, for the price of what the casitas costs, we expected more. Food… we stayed 3 nights. I had the lemon chicken the first night. Very bland, dry pasta. Husband got the pork tenderloin which was very good. 2nd night, I got the salmon. Again very bland. Just ok. Husband repeated the pork tenderloin. 3rd night we chose not to eat there because we were out of options and didn’t want pork tenderloin again. The sides were very good and desserts very good. Waitress was very nice. When we visited 6 years ago, the food was amazing and there were more options. Staying 3 nights and having the same 4 options was redundant for us, especially when it wasn’t that good. Breakfast was ok. Continental style. We ordered breakfast tacos off menu for extra charge and they were fantastic. Coffee was really good. Outdoor pool has amazing views but was also dirty the whole time we were there. Boce ball set up is worn and needs replacing. The new pickle ball area is extremely nice and new. I feel like sage hill is now catering more to a pickle ball crowd vs. an intimate couple experience. There was a large loud crowd there during our stay. All in all we had a good visit although wish we could have enjoyed our pool and hot tub. We did have fun lounging on the deck looking at views. For the price of this Inn I think they can do better with upkeep.

Not worth the stay
Reviewed By Cajun888Staff and cleanliness of the hotel is not worth the stay. Only two young ladies Mary Mejia and Tracy is worth staying at this hotel. She truly cares about the guest. If you're are looking for a place with a pool and hot tub this is not the location. Pool area was dirty as were the rooms. Hot tub was green, mold in the bathrooms, staff was not friendly

Hotel overcomes corporate failings
Reviewed By DuendekyService at the hotel was excellent. Maria, Luna and Nate went above and beyond. Choice Privileges with their new convoluted and non user friendly process mangled my reservation and refused to help even though they took points out of my account and said I was there a day before I'd even left on the trip. Calls to the hotel and great service and they made right what corporate had bungled. Room was excellent, spacious and clean. Slept great. Only strange thing was the lights next to the bed were tied to the switch by the door. Breakfast was the usual but it was fresh and well maintained. The staff made up for the corporate failings.
