The road is tricky to get there (take it slow) and I’m not sure how you can access it without a car but it does mean that you are far from the tourist crowds. The view from my room had sea, the beautiful hilltop town of Beli and forested hills. The food was simple, local, and delicious- I felt like many ingredients came from a very small radius around us. The staff were lovely and attentive to a solo traveller, and it was easy to walk to several interesting sights from there- up the hill (quite a climb) for the labyrinths, down the hill for the beach (including a secluded beach if you follow the path around), and down then up for the town itself, which is full of swifts and swallows this time of year (oooh and I saw lots of pine martens on the night drive back from Cres!).

Reviewed By wearelifecollectionWe stayed for five nights in the beautiful Garden Apartment, which was just wonderful. With a private entrance and an enclosed garden, it was absolutely perfect. The room was really well equipped, and super clean, with everything we needed for our stay. We had intended to eat out each evening in Veli Losinj, but the lure of the Dolphin Suites was just too strong, and we actually had three evening meals there. Very unusual for us not to eat out! The food is amazing - very "street food" in style, but of a really, really high standard. Utterly delicious. Breakfasts were astonishingly good - buffet style (but in Covid times, you order from a menu (as much as you want!) and staff bring the food to you, on the terrace). The choice - and again the standard of the food - was amazing. Eggs, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, avocado on toast, pastries, granola, smoothies. Just so much choice. The communal areas around the pool are kept incredibly clean and tidy at all times - and the pool is one of the nicest we've used. A real, old-style, tiled pool. Very retro and very beautiful. And, like everything else, super clean. Every single member of staff we encountered was just lovely, and special mention must go to Marnix, the manager. He has created something very, very special here, and now that we have found Dolphin Suites, there is absolutely no need for us to even bother looking for alternative accommodation when we return to Veli Losinj. For us, it is perfect in every way.

Breakfast is delicious with a large variety, also have a private patio for seating outside which is beautiful in the mornings. Wifi on every floor, rooms are big with closet space, locked safe & big bathrooms with a deep tub if you want to relax at the end of a long day at the beach. Staff is so kind, helpful and friendly. Will always come back here!

Reviewed By Aleš KThe guesthouse has a beautiful location overlooking the sea and the hills. To the sea is not far. For breakfast, you have five options on the menu. I slept in a small attic room. Furniture would need renovation, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean.

Reviewed By PlanewalkerOur stay was not an unpleasant one, but I had much greater expectations from a four-star hotel. The visuals are nice – the interior is rather cheerful and pleasant to look at. However, the walls are paper-thin, so you had better hope you get quiet neighbours. The furnishings look very basic. The TV set is of the ancient cathode ray tube variety. There was no one large bed, only two single beds on wheels put together, so you’re very likely to fall between them if you lie in the middle. The bathroom contains no accessories/toiletries apart from a blowdrier. The toilet has low to medium flow, and the water supply merely trickles, and so it takes, and so it takes the tank at least 10 minutes to fill the tank. The air conditioning can only be turned on/off if you call the reception desk. The staff was polite and helpful enough, but we did have an uncomfortable situation one night when we came back at 11 p.m. and found the front door locked, with the reception desk unmanned. It turned out that we had to use the room keycard (separate from the room key), which we had actually been advised to leave in the slot inside the room for continuous power. The breakfast was very basic and not very satisfying. There were no gluten-free options and nearly all meat items were made of pork. We did not try the à la carte menu. There is a swimming pool with spa/massage services, but our schedule was busy so we did not get to try it. The environs are peaceful and quiet enough, but I would not recommend staying here for a vacation. There is a campsite within walking distance, but the best beaches are located around the bay some 20 miles to the north. Martinšćica as a town is nothing to write home about; you’re better served staying in Cres if you like a town with more establishments or Valun if you like quiet fishing villages.

Very nice Bed & Braeakfast
Reviewed By heidij763We had a very nice time at B & B Mario. The owner Mario and his staff were so friendly, and we felt very welcome from the minut we arrived. We got help with our luggage, and our car were parked at a private parking lot. The B & B is only a few minutes walk fra the beautiful beach and the town Krk. The rooms were nicely decorated, and we got a nice view to the ocean. The A/C was working perfectly, and the was even a small fridge. The bathroom had a shower and the towels were soft and nice. Everything seemed quite new. Breakfast was included in the price, and we got everything we needed. Bread, fruit, ham, cheese, eggs (prepared after your taste), juice and cake. We loved it. The B & B has a restaurant. We only tasted the pizzas, and they were very good. I can highly recommend Marios Bed & Breakfast. We will defiantly go back some day.

Reviewed By QivNR2GbJ6Spent an amazing two weeks at MaMaLu last summer! The rooms are simple and clean with a great view. I would recommend anybody looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay to check out this gem. The family/staff were also just great and helped out when my girlfriend got sick. But the best thing about MaMaLu still has to be the food at the restaurant! In the mornings you can see the patriarch take the fishing boat out to sea and at night the catch is served to the guests. Originally we had planned to eat out a lot but we had to give up that plan and instead ate at the hotel most days.

Reviewed By Issa1Marko rooms are in the beautiful building situated in the quiet neighbourhood of the town of Krk. Rooms are clean and well maintained, with nice balconies and terraces. The host is great and wery welcoming. He even serves breakfast in the rooms. Thumbs up for it! Parking is provided at the facility so, no worries. To conclude, staying at this property is highly recommanded.
