Reviewed By DorothyCheongMy family of four of us stayed in this lovely, clean and comfortable place. It reminded me of motels in Australia and New Zealand. It has 2 large beds, comfortable for my family with 2 teenage sons. The reception is well decorated with the concept of pooh bear and his friends. Free breakfast of bread and drinks like orange juice/coffee/tea are being provided for guests where we can eat at the reception or bring them to our rooms. Owner and his wife are very helpful and friendly. K convenience store is just across the road. We chose this lodge because it is near to Nabana no sato winter illumination. Bookings is done through emailing to the lodge within 3 months and paying through paypal. Discovered Hatagoya has many lodges throughout Japan except Hokkaido.

Our room was big and comfortable. We had the ocean/sunrise view. You can also have the back which has a view of the amusement park. The room is tatami style. We had dinner in the room and breakfast in the restaurant. Served, not buffet. The hotel has an onsen. Very nice. But, 3 minute walk through the passage to the Nagashima Hotel is the main onsen. It is fabulous! I have been to many onsens but this was one of the very best. Many different baths in a beautiful mountain garden setting with waterfalls, rivers, etc... Big, spacious, relaxing and fun. I loved it. It wasn't so busy because snow had closed down the amusement park. I imagine it can get much busier but will absorb people well. I would go again just for this onsen. The hotel has a really nice game center. The hotel gives a ticket for entrance to the park, onsen, flower place, etc... The outlet mall is a 5 to 10 minute indoor walk, same as walking to the onsen. Great place. Anytime. Would love to go again and will if I have the chance.

Reviewed By DennisSBThis is the one of the three hotels inside the Nagashima Resort. The price is cheaper when compared with the other two. However, I think it is excellent, but only if you can adapt the traditional Japanese style. Both breakfast and dinner are included, we love both. There is no beds, you need to sleep on the floor, an unique experience for those foreign traveler. It is particular good for kids as the whole family sleep on the floor, they are very happy. It is also close to all attractions inside the resort. The only thing I am not happy is the toilet is very small.

Reviewed By lheuerThis hotel is a small business hotel right across from the train station. We had single rooms with private bath. Western breakfast in the hotel was 500 yen. It is a very clean hotel with friendly staff. They do not speak very much English. Restaurants and stores in the area.

I book the room with a doublebed, but it turns out that I have to stay in a room with a doublebed with a bed on top of my head!!!! i feel not good because of that. Free breakfast is provided and the taste is ok room price is reasonable a choice for you if you want a cheap price with good transport

There are buses near the station to reach these places. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is friendly.

Everything You Need
Reviewed By Debbie YWe chose this hotel as a cheap option to visit Nagashima Spaland. From the outside, I was really worried whether I had booked the 'right' place or not, because it looked rather old and uninviting. However, once inside, I realized that this place has everything you need for a good night's sleep, especially if in Kuwana on business. The hallways were clean and fresh, the rooms and bathrooms were also very new and clean. The women's bathrooms had a hair-dryer and 2 types of curling irons provided. And the public baths were very clean. According to my husband, the men's facilities had a huge change room, huge baths, free massage chairs, and several shower stalls. The women's, however, was quite small. There were only 3 lockers, 2 shower stalls, and the bath wouldn't fit more than one or two. However, in Japan, this type of hotel mainly caters to men, and not women, couples, or families. The rooms have all of the usual amenities: fridge, TV, multiple chargers for whichever brand of mobile phone you have, toothbrushes, tea-cups, glasses, slippers etc. There is both boiling water and ice water availiable in the hallway, along with a microwave oven, which you can use to warm up your bento. The beds and futons were new and comfortable, and free earplugs and black-out boards allowed for a good night's sleep. The restaurant in the lobby provided a small selection with the usual fare, but also offered the Kuwana special, Hamaguri. Breakfast and dinner were reasonably priced at 540 yen and 1300 yen a piece. We were able to buy our Nagashima Spaland passes from the front desk as a discount price, which was awesome. My only complaint about this place is that we couldn't connect to the free wi-fi as was advertised, however, there was a tablet for use in the hotel lobby, if needed.

Typrical hotel for Japan
Reviewed By Matthew MStayed here for a night to see the lights in Kuwana. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from the station. One small problem was that there is no lift to the lobby which is up a couple of flights of stairs. Once inside the hotel is a typical Japanese hotel with solid service, clean and quite small rooms and vending machines. The breakfast was included in the room rate and there was a variety of foods available. Probably will not have the need, but would stay again if in the area.
