Find out what Indian restaurants to try in Windhoek. Many visitors to Namibia start their adventure in Windhoek, the capital and largest city of this South African country. Nama, Herero, German, Afrikaans, and British cultures have influenced the growth and development of Windhoek. Visit the statue of Hosea Kutako, a nationalist hero, in the gardens surrounding the Tintenpalast, the seat of the Namibian legislature, or chow down on ostrich kebab or zebra steak at Joe’s Beerhouse before leaving on a safari into the Namibian wilderness.

Garnish Restaurant

An Authentic Indian Restaurant!

Have eaten at and ordered takeaway from Garnish through Dial-a-meal Namibia and have to say that all the food was superb and authentic except for the Mango Lassi. Would recommend the samosas, paneer dishes, butter chicken (which my British friend said was the best butter chicken she ever had!) and the roomily roots. The biryanis were ok, nothing special.

JS Taste of India

We are a family owned Indian restaurant situated in the heart and soul of Windhoek. our family primarily comes from Punjab, India and serve Punjabi Indian cuisine. our taste is authentic with a hint of our mothers home made cooking.

What a great little place, staff are very good and always smiling. The food is a mixture of Afghan/Indian/Pakistani delights. Be daring and have Saagwali curry or Karahi curry instead of the usual butter chicken options - you wont be disappointed.Cost wise its affordable and value for money !Roti and naans a delight and as for the kulfie icecream its a must.It would be nice to have more of an Indian atmosphere - perhaps some paintings or deco to finish the experience, hopefully that comes soon ))
