Jersey Shore Resorts | Places to Stay in Jersey Shore

The Atlantic coast of New Jersey, with its beaches and boardwalks, stretches from Sandy Hook in the north to Cape May in the south. Fresh ocean breezes fan 127 miles of sandy beaches. Drive between cities or catch a NJ Transit bus or Atlantic City jitney bus. Atlantic City packs people in to nightlife venues and casinos. Wildwood's boardwalk is well-trod. Asbury Park is once again popular, particularly with gays and lesbians. Cape May's restaurants and Victorian inns lure tourists to the historic town.

Wonderful Carroll Villa

We stayed at Carroll Villa in June 2022. I highly recommend it! The staff was friendly, the food was excellent ( especially the breakfasts!) and accommodations so pretty and relaxing. We had Room 1 on second floor with queen bed. I love the antique furnishings and bed was super comfortable. Having our private bathroom was of course a plus and it was peaceful at night. Location was half block walk to beach one way and almost same distance to Washington Square Mall with shopping, restaurants, best ice cream, town square park, antiques, mini golf etc. Did I mention we will be going back? For sure!

Hotel was awesome. Room was perfect, except for the window treatment that was nt entirely in place but since I was on the 35th floor, was not concerning....just noticeable. What was also notable was the difference in staff. AT check in, I observed the most friendly and upbeat agent helping another registrant. I was hoping she would be free when it was my turn. She wasn't, unfortunately. The agent who helped me got the job done without a smile or conversation but more importntly without roviding an important piece of information that put me in a whilrspin at check out which was also less than embracing. I was there with my cousins who were checking out before me and came back to ask about an extra $25.00 fee. My receipt had the same amount. The agent first told my cousin that the extra was because there was second person in her room. Bogus. When called on it the agent said it was the early check in amount. Had the first agent checking us in told us about tht (rediculous) extra, we would noit have checked in. We would have had lunch first and then checked in. We could also have chilled in the pool area except it was closed to the public that day. WHAT? The check out agent checked with whomever and removed the extra charge for both of us, but it sure didn't leave a good impression. So, I will tell people who ask what I thought to make sure they confirm any extra or hidden charges should they decide to stay at this hotel. Additionally, I would recommend additional customer service programs to make sure every employee is friendly, informative and most importntly, welcoming (as was the agent I mentioned earlier.) It makes a difference and leaves a lasting impression. Thanks for asking. What sort of trip was this? You don't have an EVENT option listed. It was an event I attended with family. I suggest adding that as an option..

We told her our host requested a suite she said can not give you one. ( not good) so we left 1:00 pm we go back to the deck was told nothing is ready yet we leave again. Finally we got so upset we go back to the desk ask for a manager we said this is very Unacceptable waiting this long. She told us well because you waited How upgrade you to a suite, we’ll our host Requested us a suite. The first girl we talked to was rude she had a bad attitude. We are thinking about finding a new casino to play at. When we made our reservation we should have been told about all the Renovations being done where we always play was no longer. The machines upstairs would not take our code to get a cocktail or the account to view. Our stay this time was not good at all. We play at Caesars a lot. Not happy

Best Motel in the Wildwoods

I've stayed in many motels in Wildwood, mostly in the Crest, and the Adventurer is the best one yet. This was my first visit and I was so impressed with my room. Oceanfront, 3rd floor, corner with outstanding views. The room looked like it had just been completely renovated - spotless (rugs, furniture, walls, bedding, towels, etc.). The kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, coffeemaker, toaster, microwave, all spotless and fully stocked with plenty of glasses, Corelle dishes, pots & pans, and plenty of silverware. Plenty of extra bedding and towels also. I especially loved that the private balcony was totally private with solid side walls and covered & you could fit 2 lg. chairs & a small table on it. I am so glad I had this beautiful room to stay cozy in since I was there for Mother's Day weekend with the worst weather (Nor'easter) for 3 days. The underground garage was also a saving grace! The front desk staff were very pleasant and the restaurant food (breakfast) was very good. I really hope I can return again soon & be able to enjoy the outside.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in which it served it’s purpose, close to the beach and has a pool. A beach hotel, ok we get it standards are not going to be the same. However, when paying $550 a night for a full service hotel you expect a little extra, there has to be standard in service which unfortunately we found to be lacking. The Thursday & Friday we stayed generally was no problem, however the last day on Saturday was nothing short of a disaster. Issues at the tiki bar were not addressed after multiple couples raising them. There is a significant difference when ordering yourself at the bar and when it is table service. We booked into the hotel restaurant on Saturday night which was nothing short of a complete disaster. An hour and a half later our dinner had to be returned twice due to poor food quality, our server informed the restaurant manager of the issue repeatedly who only compensated my meal and I left hungry with no meal after a two hour wait. Completely unacceptable. If the hotel restaurant does not have a proper chef it should not be opened. The hotel staff had no interest in discussing any of our issues upon check out this morning after they were raised.

Waiter/ bartender was pushy just to start. He tried to be helpful but was overbearing. The menu items all were spicy or hot or items came totally dressed up. Wanted a plain cheeseburger and he says it comes with bacon, I told him I don't eat bacon and he didn't even offer to take it off. We got the foot long hot dog $20. Told waiter mustard, onions and cheese. It came out with spicy BBQ onions, that is not what I ordered. Too spicy for my wife to eat. Never offered to comp or replace with another item. Very bad experience - Don't Go there-

Trashy Ass Service

Reviewed By 629jefferyo

This hotel is trash. The service is trash. I had to constantly have my room key reactivated. I purchased food and there was nowhere to reheat it in the entire building. There was NO A/C in my room for 2 of the 4 days I was there, I made complaints to the front desk repeatedly and they refused to notate the account. The bed linen was dirty/old and needed to be replaced. When I called for extra towels, I was transferred to someone's personal cell phone. I was charged for fees that were paid through Priceline. I was triple charged and when asked about it they claim that they have to look into it.
