Creekside Inn

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown, the Creekside Inn is Bishop's premier hotel. Boasting a casually elegant atmosphere, you're likely to strike up a conversation with our friendly staff, or enjoy a warm, freshly baked cookie as you stroll by the front desk. Our richly furnished lobby, featuring a ranch-style fireplace, is an ideal place for relaxing or gathering with friends & family.

Greedy

Reviewed By 817du

Stayed at the Creekside Inn many times. It use to be reasonable, but after Covid they downgraded services and increased greedy fees such as a resort fee (it’s not a resort, no fitness center, gift shop or bar) and they charge per person per room for family members! Their rates are high for parking lot rooms within earshot of noisy ice machines and thin floors. The jacuzzi is luke-warm, no more coffee in the lobby, breakfast is no longer included and the menu pricing is ridiculously expensive for Dennys quality food. Front desk staff is rude and/or clueless. Waste of money!

Such a great place with such a bad service ((

I stayed in March 2021, I was seduced by the photographies of the hotel, & indeed it worth to stay here for the place... BUT THE STAFF ! This hotel pretend to be a 5 stars - and the price is accordingly (( I arrived at 9PM with 2 luggages - nobody to help - stairs to climb by myself - I had to ask the reception staff where to park the car otherwise nobody helps you to understand how it works (no valet parking) I wanted to have a diner, I was refused to be served at the restaurant and even at the bar - I was told that I need to book - Breakfast : same thing, at 8AM the queue was 1 hour, and the service is so slow (40min to wait for simple egs & pancakes) The only good thing is the room and the view

The Ranch At Death Valley

The Ranch at Death Valley, situated in Death Valley National Park, is just 120 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada and 275 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. The Ranch at Death Valley offers accommodations in a casual, family-like setting — the perfect complement to the classic elegance of the Inn at Death Valley. As you wander around the expansive grounds, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to when this site was established as a working ranch. Yet, you’ll enjoy the amenities of modern civilization, like quiet, clean rooms, a spring-fed swimming pool, large grass lawns, sports courts, a children’s playground and the National Park Service Visitor’s Center – which is just a stone’s throw away. So is the 18-hole golf course – the lowest elevation course in the world – and Golf Pro Shop. The Ranch at Death Valley is the ideal place to stay when visiting Death Valley National Park.

Such a disappointment!

First & foremost - we would give the staff 5 stars - each member was very accommodating, professional & helpful. But the facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. Our patio area was nasty. The room decor was mediocre and the mattresses were past their useful life. We selected our room due to its proximity to the spring feed pool, which was closed. We had been provided no notice of this. Several areas onsite were also closed and they had the audacity to charge a $22 resort fee - for what services we have no idea. This is not a 5-star resort or even close to it. We originally reserved 2 nights, but checked out after the first night. As far as Death Valley National Park - simply outstanding.

A surprisingly decent motel with a very nice staff.

There aren't alot of choices in Big PIne. I count three motels in total. We picked Starlight and were pleasantly surprised with a decent good-sized room with nice wood flooring. The owners are great and the grounds have an elevated deck area with BBQ and a sitting area with a fire ring. No complaints and if we're in Big Pine again we'd probably stay here again.

Panamint Springs Resort

Panamint Springs is a small western-style resort seated in the beautiful Panamint Valley in Death Valley National Park. Marvelous views of distant sand dunes and the soaring 11,000' Panamint Mountains complete the setting for leisure dining and relaxation. Panamint Springs offers 14 motel rooms & 1 cottage, restaurant, campgrounds, RV park, gas station, and mini-mart. Our motel rooms are very basic, but clean. Our rooms are cooled with an evaporative cooling system. Some units offer their own A/C window unit in addition to this. We are pet friendly, however additional fees apply. If you are planning on doing some exploring, you'll find that Panamint Springs makes a great base camp for neighboring ghost towns, abandoned mines, and even desert waterfalls. Great for 4-wheel drive exploring, hiking, biking, or just relaxing!

Basic & overpriced

Reviewed By kzb2014

The historic cabins are quaint & clean, except for the carpet which was a bit gritty due to the sand being tracked in. But they were very basic - no TV, no wifi. The electrics gave me a shock & shorted out when I tried to adjust the fan. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a 3 night stay. These things were fixed when we asked - but we had to ask! The bar aspect of the bar/restaurant was good and the staff friendly. But the food was abysmal & inedible Could have been lovely but it wasn't

This was the response I received after asking for a cancelation refund that both Booking.com and priceline.com were willing to waive based in a medical emergency more than a week prior to our stay. Good morning, Like I said in the previous message YOU booked a non refundable reservation with a 3rd party, it's unfortunately you won't be able to make your trip, for the future we advised you to always book a reservation with a flexible cancelation policy even if it's a higher rate. We are a re reputable Hotel always going above and beyond for our guest but policies are on place for a reason ( not juts at our Hotel ) it's not a poorly one it's just not convenient for you that's the difference and you agreed to a non refundable one when making your reservation with booking.com -Cielo Hotel Just so you know what you're getting into. We will not be booking with them again, regardless of our stay.
