The unique location of the youth hostel next door to Interlaken-Ost Railway Station and at the foot of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains offers boundless pleasure for adventurous guests. A train journey up to Jungfraujoch is one of the highlights of a trip through Switzerland. Jungfraujoch also boasts the highest railway station in Europe - at an altitude of 3,454 metres in a high-alpine wonderland of ice, snow and rock. The extensive ski areas with over 200 kilometres of pistes are also very popular in winter.

No way to sleep here.
Reviewed By ha389No way to sleep here, too noisy. And bathrooms are smells not good and wet on the floor always.. Actually 2 people checked in midnight. You shouldn't be allowed to check-in at the midnight to wake up the other roommates. From 00:30-2:30 they were packing, talking, turning on lights, slamming doors, drying hair. They should be allowed to check in until 22:00 in the evening in a shared room. They would wake everyone up at dawn because they would come in making noise and then no one could go back to sleep.

Cosy little hostel
Reviewed By SanghamitraGIt is a picturesque little hostel in a well maintained old building with all modern amenities . Reception desk is manned all the time with very helpful persons . Very peaceful. We stayed in the attic room with two beautiful windows which allow plenty of sunlight and excellent view of Meadows and mountains. Beds are comfortable with attached toilets. Switzerland does not provide shampoo and conditioner for hair as well as tooth paste. So it should be carried in your luggage . Any departmental store is very far off from this hostel. Buses are available to all direction. Roads are beautiful. Complimentary breakfast does not have many variety but it is satisfying fir those who love milk. Tea and coffee always available. I traveled with my daughter and we are satisfied with the amenities and view.

Perfect Budget Accomodation
Reviewed By davlew14If like me you just use your hotel room.for sleeping/washing then this place is for you. Paid around 65 euros per night for a double room with en suite washbasin (shared toilet and shower upstairs). Room was clean and tidy and perfectly located next to Interlaken West railway station. Even a free modern washing machine and dryer upstairs in the communal bathroom. Check out is at 10am but luggage lockers available at railway station next door, so no issue with having to leave luggage in a hostel with no real reception area. No room keys, just PIN numbers sent to you by email. To their credit I arrived at 22:05hrs and had the wrong PIN and they were reachable by phone and very quickly fixed the problem. Even a kettle and tea/coffee facilities in the room. Highly recommended
