Reviews on Pub food in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, United States. Elk Grove Village is a village located in northeastern Illinois adjacent to O'Hare International Airport and is a near northwest suburb, touching the city of Chicago. It is one of the Chicago metropolitan area's principal villages due to its large industrial park, located on the eastern border of the village. The village is located primarily in Cook County with a small portion in DuPage County. The population was 33,127 at the 2010 census. As the name suggests, Elk Grove Village is home to a small herd of elk kept in a grove at the eastern edge of the Busse Woods forest preserve for which the grove is named. Elk are not native to the area but were brought by train from Montana by an early resident, William Busse, in the 1920s. The elk are currently maintained by the Chicago Zoological Society veterinary staff and the Busse Woods Forest Preserve wildlife biologists.

We ate at Tokio Pub this past Sat. night. We had reservations at 7:45. We were seated about 7:55. Not too bad......the young lady who greeted us when we arrived was not overly friendly. We were seated and waited about 10 minutes before a server in training came over and said she could not take our order but told us about some appetizers she would recommend. I believe her name was Justine and she was quite nice. She took our drink orders however. 10 minutes later our server came with our drinks. At that point we ordered a hot rock app and edamame potstickers.....both were very good. I ordered the pork belly boa and enjoyed, all four of us enjoyed our entrees. We ordered asparagus tempura for the table and was very good. The Fries w/ a Asiam mayo were not good. The fries had astale cardboard texture and mayo based sauce was warm and runny. Big fail on the fries. Everything else was good. I would not so the service was great but it was good enough. I would not hesitate to go here again.

We were stopping overnight at a motel nearby and could simply walk here. Shortish girl server really lovely, helped with confusion over ordering wings. Couple of cold coors went down a treat. Wings just what was needed. Clean restroom (ice cubes in urinals, what's that about?). Did it's job and if was stopping nearby again would definately eat there

This place has a great vibe! They accommodated our very large party keeping the boys at one long table and us parents at another. Food and drink were excellent. I had the flite of 4 beers, 2 blueberrian and 2 citrus types. Started with the Caesar and had excellent fish n chips, generous portions (makes mY mouth water just thinking about it now?). No room for dessert. My compadres all liked their meals also but the flight of beer was definitely a good intro (and I don't really like beer!)Our server Crystal was outstanding! Gave us a lot of info on Pride Day Parade. And was quite pleasant in her service!Highly recommend with a group! This place was hopping!!

The mozzarella sticks are an awesome different take on the traditional; quite delicious. The pizza was some of the best we've had. We chose Da Godmudder and a second pizza with Canadian bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and black Olives. We chose to try because of the high rating and coupon offer. Coaches corner will definitely be a repeat!

We were here last year and it was much better. The waitresses seemed frazzled and one did nothing but complain the entire time we were there. The lasagna was cold in the center and while we would have sent it back we saw our waitress to order and then by the time we saw her again we were done. The clam chowder was good.

My first night in this town of Schaumburg and after a long day of traveling - I really wanted a place to have some good food and beer. This was it.I chose this place because of its great reviews here & Iâm happy I listened to the words of others. The charm of the interior gave me the feeling like I walked into a Tudor style home and I was all of a sudden in another world or place. Warm lighting gave it that extra There are great drink specials for happy hour and the menu is pretty diverse. From Steak, bar bites, soups, flatbreads etc, there something here for everyone. The wait staff are super friendly. I had dinner and then breakfast here while staying at the hotel. Not many other choices without a car. Like so many hotel restaurants, the food was over-salted, but plentiful. I'm told the chili is very good. Breakfast (not included in room price) was adequate. Question: why are there heating trays of pancakes and French toast (both pretty good) but no syrup in sight??? Is it a Chicago thing?
