Straight Ghetto Trash.

Reviewed By Ilovepebbles101

To Begin with, the staff was absolutely terrible, very rude and it seemed like they didn't care about us, the lady that checked us in was very soft spoken, mumbling, and messed up our reservation, she gave us the wrong room because apparently she gave OUR room away even tho we made the reservation 2 months prior. We ignore that and are just happy to get a room. We went to visit family and came back around 10ish to shower and rest. Around 12 AM a random person comes into our room while we are asleep!! A worker then came down and got mad at us for allegedly stealing the room when in reality they got their booking wrong! The worker did not apologize once and kept blaming it on us. We soon figured out you have to pay for extra towels, toilet paper and they don't even clean the rooms! You have to take out the trash and you have to go beg for new sheets, not to mention our Room didn't even come with a control for the Tv and the doors were broke. Overall Terrible place and don't recommend. I will never go back to this place. Do NOT come here, DO NOT. The worst hotel I've ever stepped foot in, they don't do their job, they don't mop, the elevators are dirty and yucky, they don't have overnight service. We tried leaving at 4 am in the morning but had to wait until 6 am to leave bc they wanted to take their sweet time and not answer the phone. Overall terrible service and would never this to anyone, have some dignity and don't come here. Do us a favor and shutdown the hotel, and the employees should just file for unemployment checks like the lazy pieces of bums that they are.

Really bad

Reviewed By jeffreybX6045OA

1) Very weak water pressure in the shower. It feels like you’re you standing in the drizzling rain. Water ends up all over the bathroom floor. 2) The worst WI-FI in the history of the world. You get a really weak signal that constantly drops. Worse still, if you briefly step away from your laptop you login again. It’s so bad that they should really stop saying they have WI-FI. 3) They made a mistake on my bill and overcharged me $180.00.

Excellent option for temporary housing

Reviewed By Heidi S

We stayed in North Harbor Tower for 5 weeks via Manilow Suites while our house was renovated. We had a 3 bedroom apartment with parking. The building staff was excellent (we had a snafu at check-in, so there was 20 minutes of panic to start the whole endeavor, but after that we never had any issues) and the Manilow staff was responsive. I'm overall giving it 5 stars, but nothing is perfect. So here are some of the negatives we encountered. *our original assigned parking space was occupied by another car. So we were assigned a different space, but our car couldn't fit in it when the next car was parked. Etc. Finally after 4 days and 5 spaces we were assigned a space that worked. And then twice we found notices on our car that it would be towed for being in the wrong space, even though it wasn't. *we had been told weekly housekeeping and paper goods replenishment. Apparently this should have been bi-weekly, and the first service was skipped. *It would have been helpful to get more information at check in - things like how to get to the pool, how to use the mailroom, the restaurant pop ups in the lobby, the existence of a convenience store (which I learned of 3 days before checkout), etc The doorman explained some of them, but he was giving us so much information all at once and we assumed it would be referenced in the written materials (it wasn't). *a "fully stocked" kitchen means different things to different people! the knives were incredibly dull, and we had to ask for a bunch of pretty standard things to be added (and had to buy a few other things ourselves). If you expect the kitchen to be equipped at the level of "business person needs to reheat leftovers and eat cereal" you will be pleasanlty surprised. If you are expecting "family of 4 will cook every meal" you will need to augment some things. *the mailroom hours were very limited, so getting packages was really hard. Those quibbles are pretty minor, however, given that we had a clean, comfortable, well furnished, apartment for 5 weeks for less than the cost of an airbnb. Oh, and, obviously -- the views are insane. Simply outstanding. My kids would just sit and stare out at the lake or onto lake shore drive for long stretches of time.

Problems after problems

Reviewed By Oceangoddess2000

My family and I stayed here in 2 rooms. 308N and 309N. 8/6/21 - 8/9/21 my kids were here. (Me till 8/27/21) First in 308N the cold air return vent had water leaking out and saturated the carpet on Saturday No maintenance on weekends...for leaks soaking a carpet either!?! NO AIR CONDITIONING FOR 2.5 DAYS OF 3 DAY STAY!! While we were out they supposedly brought an air blower to dry the carpet, so I was told on Tuesday. We returned that night and the carpet was still soaked, then the AC went out...so between the soaked carpet and heat in the room my daughter went home sick with sinus issues and her husband with serious sinus issues. My kids left 8/9/21, next day after a whole day home they are feeling much better. This hotel rented room 308N and that guest had to complain about the carpet being soaked too!!! Now my room..309N. First the fridge went out and I had to throw out a weeks worth of food, the tub diverter is not working properly and the tab to pull up makes the faucet come out of the wall. The bathroom sink is in front of the door and when using sink it keeps closing into me. Between the bathroom and bedroom smells of urine, the front door is hard to open and close, getting the bedroom closet door to open/close is very difficult, the top right hits and overlaps the left. On 8/7/21 around 4 am the fire alarm went off, we evacuated and stood outside for at least 15 minutes before the fire dept came!?!?...they are less than 1/2 mile away on base! On 8/9/21 we knew maintenance was coming to change the air filters. They banged on more then one door at a time like band bang bang, we thought there was another fire the way they pounded on the doors to all the rooms. My son-in-law was getting out of the shower and yelled, just a moment. Maintenance pounded 3 more times then proceeded to let himself in!!! Then check out is 11 am and the maid came early around 9 when my daughter was getting dressed, The maid knocked and they yelled, just a moment, then maid knocked again and proceeded into the room before my daughter could get her shirt on, thank goodness after the maintenance guy they put the security latch across the door to keep maid from walking in on my daughter. We used to stay here all the time until 2010, my hubby is retired but here on civilian job training classes. We are to report all issues from our stay, good and bad once back home, but I believe this hotel should be removed from the list given to the civilian students on where to stay. I talked to the general manager Ms. Renee, Maintenance came and started to fix my room. My only thing is I should not have to be inconvenienced by this on my trip. I cancelled plans bcuz I have a lot of things in the bathroom to move for maintenance to fix the shower, with covid and me higher risk I prefer no one to touch my personal things, and yes I travel with Clorox wipes and I wipe all surfaces down in the rooms I stay in. Just the overall experience in just the first week and then my kids room too, pushed me over the edge!! This over the edge experience was not cheap, I feel like I was still at home dealing with stress! They say they supply coffee pods and toilet paper...they ran out of both and didn't let anyone know so they could get some else where. Now maids are saying their supervisor is telling them they can no longer give out paper towels. Talked to the General manager Ms. Renee she said the urine smell comes from guests staying here with bare feet on the carpet for months at a time, so it permeates in the carpet. Cleaning staff said they used to have time to shampoo carpets in between guests but they no longer have that time. They have no problem charging full price for the rooms and providing half the services!! DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT A CLEAN AND FUNCTIONING ROOM WITH THE PROMISED AMENITIES!!
