Stopped in with friends for a quick happy hour. Friendly staff, quick service and the martini, mules and potato-skin appetizers were tasty. The skins are cheesy with bacon and ranch and come with salsa for dipping/topping. I've been here a few times when in town - great pizzas and a nice menu. Right in the heart of Ketchum.

WE went with friends, and had the best burger, cheese, bacon, crispy onions...fabulous..And had an order of fish and chips. Excellent, but the fries..oh, my , horrible. They were cold a greasy. Pretty sure they had been sitting around. Will still go another time, but will ask for a FRESH order of fries.

Both reasonably priced. We were bummed when we came in for happy hour and told the kitchen wasnât open after we were sat with happy hour menus. It would have been good service to offer discounted food off the dinner menu. Regardless the only veg food on the happy hour menu was a pretzel. Stayed for a drink and a beer then we were off. Also, water should be offered when you sit (even at a bar). Strange that their vodka isnât potato with it being Idaho and all...Good morning Sophiasv7,Thank you for your review. Happy hour is from 3-5 and dinner service starts at 5pm. Lunch is typically served from 11-3pm.Good question about the potato vodka! We don't make a potato vodka because Organic potatoes are not commercially available for spirit production--meaning, we can't make neutral grain spirit using organic Idaho potatoes because there isn't enough available. Farming practices associated with non-organic potatoes are quite detrimental to the ground water, soil, and the environment. Thus, we decided that 100% Organic Idaho Wheat would be a better choice; it supports Idaho's second largest export, Idaho farmers, and the environment. This place was recommended so we went down the stairs to the cellar. My husband had the fish and chips and remarked that the tartar sauce was the best he had ever tried and he doesn't even use tartar sauce. I had the lamb sliders which were excellent. The food was really really good. The atmosphere is a total dive bar, with a bunch of camo guys, who all know each other. I felt a little out of place in that environment with my family, but I would go back because we all liked the food so much.Thanks for the kind words Jamesy! We do take pride in serving a great meal at a great price and sounds like we delivered on that. In our 26 years, we have developed a great local working clientele who also appreciate our affordable prices. We are lucky to have all types of people enjoy Lefty's and all that it has to offer. There's comfort in knowing some things never change. At Grumpy's the food is always perfectly cooked to order and your beer is always ice cold. Pete is a great host but the other bartenders can be a bit, well, Grumpy.
