Bad and ugly service

To Whom It May Concern, I hope this message finds you well. I booked a room for one night on the 14th of February (Res #: 3190012762) for one of my employees, Hany Asaad at the Extended Stay America – The Woodlands (150 Valley Wood Rd, The Woodlands, TX 77380). The hotel front desk receptionist would not allow Mr. Asaad to check in because he did not have his own credit or debit card that night, although he did have his DL. I asked the lady receptionist if I could e-mail or fax her my business credit card that I initially booked the room with, along with my DL and a signed authorization form. I also told her that I was 150 miles away and needed to book a room for my employee for business related reasons. Unfortunately, she kept refusing my requests and insisted that Mr. Asaad present his own credit card. Hany slept in his car that night. She also made it a point to cite a US law regarding this and said, “In the US we don’t do that.” Obviously due to the fact that my accent is pretty strong. For her to go that far was extremely disrespectful. As an ex-business owner, this sort of nonsense would have never been tolerated. Thank you for your time and diligence in this matter.

Charming little "doll house" in the Heights area of Houston which is a very convenient location. The inside is furnished with Victorian furniture and art. It is very clean and offers off-street parking. Lovely front porch for relaxing. So refreshing to find such a unique setting. We really enjoyed staying there.

Terrible stay

Reviewed By 862tyray

First of all 5 minutes after I checked in the police were called because of A fight and there was a woman screaming and crying They told us if it persisted in an hour they would move my room. It was quiet for a while then above me were these loud noises, that kept waking me up. The people upstairs was playing loud music then when they were told to turn it down they stomped and threw things on the floor all night and I heard a lady screaming again. I called the front desk several times and the old Arab man that answered the phone was very rude. The last time I called he asked “what’s the problem now?” Then proceeded to tell me to call the police and I did. I don’t know if the police even came but the noise finally stopped around 1 or 2am. It was a terrible experience at this hotel. I just needed a good nights sleep before I drove another 12 hours home to Georgia. I wish there were more African American hotel owners cause these foreigners suck they have no kind of hospitality or moral values.

Best Value In Houston

Reviewed By Zachary G

I've been in Houston for an entire month now working late insurance claims after hurricane Harvey. Trying to live on a budget, staying in the most affordable hotels I could find, I finally stumbled upon this little gym. I've been at the Palacio Royale now for two weeks and must admit that this is the safest, cleanest and most hospitable hotel/motel I've found in the entire metroplex of Houston for this price. The family that runs this are incredibly friendly and easy to work with. You get the occasional strange guests that weird you out but I've yet to have an actual threatening situation at all. Walkways are well lit and the security cameras keep a good eye on guests that preconceived a worry. One of the most important aspects is how secluded this place is. Tightly packed into a mid-industrial park in Houston, you avoid the risk of vehicle break ins and general worry. Honestly this place is worth more than what I've paid. When they initially told me the weekly price I was a bit worried but now realize that they under underestimating the quality of this place. Only recommendation would be breakfast!!

A Great Room at a Fair Price

Super clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed with premium linens. Larger than average fridge with freezer. Large screen TV with a good selection of channels. Strong internet - no "time outs" while watching Netflix or Amazon Prime. Early check in available. My only suggestion would be to add some meat to the breakfast offering but that's not a criticism; just a suggestion.
