In early September I booked 3 rooms for our f., I'm told its 4pm check in. only 1 room was ready. Front desk would call me when other rooms were ready, she said 30 minutes. 40 minutes later, no call so I walked to lobby, she had card keys waiting on counter for 1 room and handed to me, (no call). She said it'd be another 45 minutes for 3rd room. I told her that was unacceptable since it was now 4:15 and we had someplace be soon. She gave us another room which was "ready". That room had pubic hair in and on the tub, beds looked half heartedly made in all 3 rooms, looked like kids jumped on beds they were so messy. 3rd room the toilet seat was so loose someone could slip and fall off it. I went back to front desk, complained about the 2 rooms with the issues and asked them to fix the seat on toilet. She told me they couldn't get a new seat, I said just tighten it down before myself or my daughters mother in law who was staying in my room fell off it. We all left for our excursion, came back several hours later. Pubic hair gone, toilet seat STILL loose. Nothing done about it. Terrible stay. I have stayed in these hotels many times, never an issue. This was a terrible experience.

Great value and view!

I stayed at Westcliff Lodge 2 nights as part of a hiking group. Our room was large, clean, quiet, had good WiFi and overall was quite pleasant. There were plenty of areas around the property for our group to gather, share a meal and enjoy the view and grounds. The desk help was professional, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again. Also close to good eating in town and close trails and waterfalls.

I love staying at the Best Western Plus in Hood River, Oregon. I travel to the area every week for work. The front desk is top notch, especially Kerry Smart! Kerry is the GOAT! This hotel has a great team. If you haven’t stayed here, do it! You’re going to enjoy it. The perfect combination of professional and warm to make a person feel cared for and special. I also love the Riverside restaurant located at the hotel. It’s good food in a fancy atmosphere. Such a nice way to start and end the day.

European ambience, American comfort

This hotel reminded us of places we stayed on the Rhine river in Germany. A clean comfortable, if smallish, room with an excellent bed. The Riverview rooms are worth the extra price. The service was excellent and friendly. The only downer: slow service in the restaurant.

Best location and nice hotel in Hood River

Reviewed By swamyb

It is in best location in front of Columbia and Hood River intersection. We got a room with river view and could not stop looking at Columbia river from our window. You could see people wind surfing, walking their dogs, or just walking along the riverside. Breakfast was good with waffles, omlets and host of other stuff a typical continental breakfast has.. There is no made to order thing, u just pick what they have put in the breakfast room Sleep quality is bad. We asked for a top floor room but they did not have it. First night was ok, as there was nobody above our room. Second night, o boy.. Some werid people moved in and they were walking constantly, rought handling their skiis or luggage until 1AM in the night. We complained to the front desk, but they did not do anything. If you cannot get a room on the top floor or if some whackos move in above your room, say good bye to your sleep. Front desk staff are nice, the propery is nice in a very good location.

Great Location in Small Town

The hotel's location is excellent as you are on the main stretch of downtown Hood River. The rooms were clean but not fully useable. We would rather have less decor furniture and have it replaced with a fridge or microwave in the room. Be aware you will have to pay for parking to stay the night! The staff was amazing and was always willing to assist if needed. It has the elements that will make you remember your stay, including the room keys, the history of the hotel, and the vibes. It just needs the minor kinks to be worked out to become even better.

Quiet, eclectic, delicious breakfast, attentive staff. Great access to the Columbia River Gorge for hiking & sightseeing

Reviewed By guycashman

Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to downtown and the waterfront, the Inn is a nice respite from the few large chain hotels in the area. A grand wrap around porch greets visitors with furnishings for relaxing or for morning coffee/tea. The large king room ( Secret Room) with en suite was very comfortable with all of the typical amenities, e.g., TV, Wi-Fi, microwave, refrigerator. The bathroom was clean with shower and handmade boutique soaps. The foyer and dining area were nicely appointed with three tables, breakfast serving times are staggered on the hour beginning at 8:00, except for Tuesday and Sunday which start at 8:30. Breakfast was delicious albeit be sure to indicate any dietary preferences, vegetarian or otherwise. We began with an oatmeal with fresh fruit followed by a egg souffle. Our primary objective was to hike several of waterfall trails along the Columbia River Gorge, e.g. Eagle Creek (20 min). Our stay in Hood River and at the Inn met our needs quite well. In the past, we've stayed in the Portland area, which meant more traffic and crowds. Based on our experience at the Inn at the Gorge, we'll be a repeat customer in the future.

This was a last minute reservation, but i would suggest finding another place, or keep driving. The manger was very nice, but the hotel is old and very dated. I mean old and musty; water pressure was nil for shower and bath towels were strangely still wet...it was a very strange odd experience for an over-priced room...
