Our son loved the sushi here - I had the delicious poke bowl. The only downside was that there is nothing on the menu for the non raw fish eater - like chicken teriyaki or noodles or dumplings - so our other kids ordered cooked shrimp sashimi. One of the only places open on Sunday.

We were surprised at the quality and variety of food considering the very reasonable prices. The assortment of Bento Box choices is fantastic. Considering that this is a small establishment and busy, the staff was very good at arranging a table for six people by moving things around. Definitely a recommendation for Japanese food.

My family and I made reservations as we heard it can get busy. They chose an 8PM reservation time even though the restaurant "closes" at 8:30. They were very slow seating us despite having multiple tables open they chose to wait for someone else to leave and then clean their table. Our waiter rushed us along the whole night. The entrees are also a little overpriced. Vegetable tempura should not be over $12. Overall, this is a pretty decent place especially in Hilo.

Great and healthy Thai food. Our dishes were loaded with a variety of lots of vegetables along with the meat. Service was super friendly and restaurant well decorated as well as being clean. The Roast Duck plate was amazing. Portions were generous, so perfect if going with a group.

Probably one of the best meals we had on the island. An unassuming utilitarian cafe on the main drag, we thought we would give it a try. Mind blown. Asked our server what was the house faves - on her recommendation husband had the lamb plate, I had the ahi plate. Both awesome! Garlic rice was lightly curried and garlicky, salad was super fresh with garbanzos and tons of sprouts. Both lamb and fish were cooked perfectly. Donât let appearance fool you, best food in Hilo!

Tina' cooks your meal to order, using wonderful but not overdone spices, and the freshest ingredients from the farm, sea and market. Everything is delicious. Portions are large. You may want to split a meal if you aren't that hungry. the only downside? Better have the time to wait for thaat custom cooked meal. Tina's is very popular and there;s only room for one chef in the kitchen, so you'll have to wait y our turn. but if you have the time, relax andf wait for a mouth watering and wonderful meal. I especially love her tom ka soup! Lunch only, except for special occasions.

Hubby and I shared pineapple fried rice and rice noodles with savory sauce. Both were fantastic. Iced tea good too. Good sized plates. Very tasty meals. Would return without hesitation. A bit warm inside, but they had extra fans going to cool room. Fast service, no wait on Fri night around 6 pm.
