Well appointed rooms and healthy breakfast

Reviewed By Ghulam I

We stayed one Saturday night to attend a wedding in Pennsylvania just over the state line. We selected this hotel based on great reviews. We were not disappointed. The rooms are well appointed and the bed was comfy. My wife immediately liked the room upon entering, which she rarely does. Breakfast bar has opened in full force after the Covid era, they have plenty of choices including oatmeal, fruits, low calorie yogurt and two varieties of egg. Plenty of seating spaces in breakfast area. The hotel staff is always smiling and helpful. The place seems to be popular, lot of families with their kids playing outside while the parents pulled up chairs watching. It is located off I-70 on a state highway with plenty of restaurants around. It is quiet too and the state route traffic is several hundreds yards away to disturb sleep seriously. All in all, Hampton Inn Hagerstown is a winner despite its relatively high price on weekends.

Very Nice, But Road Noise

Reviewed By lchjr

This is a very nice newer property about 5 miles north of downtown Hagerstown. It's definitely above average for the HI chain. However, there is one issue that can't be changed----it backs up to I-81 and is about as close to an interstate highway as any place we've stayed, and we've stayed at a multitude of Hampton Inns, Hilton Gardens. etc. So there is constant heavy truck noise from the interstate in the rooms on the back side (like our room). I think that rooms on the front side would be much quieter. The only other issues we had were a very creaky bathroom door which will wake your spouse/partner if you use the bathroom during the middle of the night. Also, this KIng Room has a different layout from most HI rooms----the bed faces the window and the TV is pretty far away from the bed (on the same wall as the window). These were minor issues for us. The room had a nice walk-in shower which we prefer. There is a small indoor pool and the typical HI fitness room, plus a small fitness room next to the pool. The standard HI breakfast was fine. Overall, this is a very good HI, but one should avoid the back side rooms.

I had just previously stayed at a comfort inn in western Maryland and the breakfast was more superior quality than the one they had at the country Inn and suites. The front desk was very pleasant everybody was very nice to check in was a breeze. Very clean hotel parking was great and was in a great location

Great hotel, clean and comfortable

We loved this hotel and would definitely stay again. The room was clean, and very comfortable. It was well designed, and it was great to have the kitchen. Nice touches, like even a dark makeup towel. The breakfast was good, too. Oatmeal, waffles, some fresh fruit. Workout room was great - even had a plyo box and full set of kettlebells.

Wife and I celebrated our 11yr at this hotel as we had dinner at the Black Rock Grill!!!! Julie was great at the front desk and so was the other staff perfect location very very clean hotel all over great breakfast recognized our Hilton gold status allowed us to check in early nice breakfast layout and choices Only thing I recommend is bigger TVs in the room due to where they are located and there is only one hard to see from the bed maybe 55 or 60 inch worth the investment for guest staying but overall thanks to Julie for being a great host and engaging us this made the stay at this hotel the best!!!

The room although a little small was clean and had a very nice window seat .I felt it was a little overpriced for the area but it appeared that all the area hotels were expensive perhaps because it was a holiday weekend.
