Having seen the reviews we searched for Frites & Co, finding it on our second day in Charleville-Mezieres... I think the map position is incorrect. However, it was worth the walk around the Place Ducale... Our burgers were really good with unusual accompaniments... Goats cheese and Honey and Reblochon... Interesting frites too...The service was good and there were clearly lots of regulars there, despite the weather.We will go again on our next visit.

A very pleasant restaurant. The welcome and service were friendly and professional. The menu was varied with wine a little on the expensive side. The meal was preceded by some amuses bouches and was well-prepared with good and quality products. I would recommend this venue for a good meal out.

Nice little underground restaurant! Went there after consulting TripAdvisor.Arrived just after opening and we were helped by a friendly waiter. Choose a menu (prices are very reasonable) with a special. The starter, main and dessert were tasty and plentyful. Noted a lot of locals, always a good sign. Highly recommended!

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of other trip advisor users and had one of the best meals of our holidays, or any holiday. Also very reasonably priced. Service and ambience were very good, and restaurant was full. We ate in the bistro as the restaurant downstairs was closed but it didn't spoil the experience. Can't recommend highly enough!Thank you so much!

It's a very cool decorated place with lots of tasty wines to choose from. I have returned there more than once. Although the food is not top notch, the tapas and cheese are just what you need for the combination with wine. Also, I would like to mention that the couple that run this place are super friendly and sociable. It's a pleasure to chat with them. Hello, Thank a lotsee you soon

It seems there's really little more to say when you have first class, helpful service wonderful food and good value but tis place deserves special mention. Located riverside it's got a charming ambience from the small but comfortable upstairs dining room. A warm welcome and unhurried service make for a very pleasant lunch. Two courses for 15 euro or three for 20 is extremely good value give the food quality. Even the bread was home made and very very good. The menu du jour of course changes daily we had the Jerusalem artichoke veloute with a seafood sauce and prawns that was fabulous. Our chicken main with celeriac puree, roasted potatoes with caramelised shallots and a hint of lemon and oven roasted vine tomatoes. For dessert I chose the salad of oranges with a caramel sauce, chocolate mousse quenelles and brandy crisp biscuit......Such a great meal no hesitation in recommending it and we'll return when the opportunity arises again.

Excellent food and a nice atmosphere. Spotlessly clean and you can watch the chef preparing the fresh food behind the counter. We thought the price was very good for a quality meal. We were very lucky to get a table as we hadn't booked and the restaurant was full within a few minutes. Best to reserve in advance.

Lovely food and good service. Very attentive waiter who spoke good English. We will return. The fois gras and tuna to start were amazing and veal fillet and sweetbreads were amongst the best ever. Really top notch!

Just happened on this place and lucky us! Everything was so good. We shared carpaccio and then had beef and veal. Jury is out on what was best. The table next to us had salt baked dorado and they nearly licked their plates. Good value but donât be I. A rush. This is a place to stop and enjoy.
