Granada Bed and Breakfast Inns | Places to Stay in Granada

April 26, 2023 Fernanda Pittenger

The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas. Granada’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, thanks in part to its student population. Hit the bars of Calle Elvira or, for a quieter outing, the traditional tea rooms of La Calle de Las Teterias.

Terrible: noisiest place I’ve stayed for a long time. Like a decade. You can hear the conversations from three rooms down as well as half the world’s pipes clanking non-stop. Tiny room for a huge price and yet hated it so much I left after one night and let them keep the money.

Pleasant Pension, Perfectly Placed

This pension is directly across the street from Plaza Nueva, walking distance from anything you would want to do in the area. We had the corner room with private bath. Excellent view of the plaza and relatively well-insulated from the noise. Pedro, the new owner, was on site every day. He’s very engaging and is a font of information about things to do there. We purchased tickets to a wonderful flamenco show through him. When he heard we are considering moving to the Realejo neighborhood, he even provided us with a walking tour of the barrio. A well-run pension in the heart of Granada.

Lovely place to stay in the Albaicin

Reviewed By Fleming75

This small hotel is high up in the Albaicin in a tiny side street. Taxis will drop you off at the end of the street and it a hairy experience as they navigate the tiny streets and tight corners! It has a lovely patio where a complimentary typically Spanish breakfast is served each morning. We had a room with a small shared patio from which there was a view if you stood of the Alhambra and the distant Sierra Nevada. The main patio serving all the rooms was lovely and a peaceful place to sit with many flowering shrubs. Our room was small but beautifully furnished and very quiet to sleep. The owner Ainhoa was fabulous and with Carmen, gave a very personal service; I was recovering from a broken ankle and the steep cobbled streets were not easy for me (note for anyone with mobility issues). Ainhoa recommended nearby fabulous restaurants and how we should see Granada in my circumstances and called us taxis which were so cheap and quick to come. I thoroughly recommend this as somewhere to stay.

Best view in Granada

Reviewed By Granadina1981

We stayed there for 5 days, the guy at the reception ( who we had to call an hour before our arrival) was very helpful and very friendly. The room was big enough with a breathtaking view at Alhambra, clean, room service is very good also. The breakfast was very poor for 120€ per day, no fresh bread etc..coffee machine is only allowed to be used at breakfast. The pool was cute but not the cleanest, the shower doors are not tight enough so we had water all over the floor after every shower .. the pillows on the balcony were not clean at all. What was very annoying was the main door that didn't close unless you really smash it! So everytime ppl were coming or leaving everybody will wake up. No parking near so we parked at san cristobal and had to pull our suitcases through Albaicin, that was a real hard work. All In All the place is nice but is over priced for what they're offering.

Very uncomfortable beds

Reviewed By 241rim

Both of our beds were very uncomfortable. The blankets were old and nasty. In our room was an old shabby couch - the owners should better throw it out! The heating did not work at night so we were freezing. The room was clean and the bathroom rather new. However we did not feel comfortable at all and had backaches sothat we decided to leave after the first night although we had already paid for the next night and could nit get a refund.

Super well located, great staff and loads of friendly advice. Room was clean and comfortable but it is basic and a tad on the small side. The hot water supply is also very small you can get maybe a 3 minute shower before having to wait about 30-40 minutes for it to reheat. However you can’t complain for such a great price!
