A casual, eclectic restaurant serving delicious, and interesting, dishes from the south. The food is inspired by the Chef Judah, who grew up in the south but traveled the world, collecting flavors and experiences along the way. Voted best restaurant mainl
We decided to try Indigo Coastal Shanty for a birthday dinner, and it is now our favorite restaurant. The food was unique and everything was delicious, casual, friendly, just what a shanty should be. Menu has a good variety, and is vegetarian and vegan friendly. We could tell the chef put love and care into each meal.

Steak was not cooked perfectly but the price was perfect...for the owner! Never again! If you want drink alcohol, I guess this would be nicer than Applebees!

The jerk chicken was amazing.....I have eaten from stands on Jamaican roads....and I cant find one thing to complain about in reference to taste....the curry chicken was also yummy. My husband would have tried the oxtails but they were out. They were also out of the ice cream for the bread pudding.....you will not be disappointed if you give this place a try!
Where to eat Healthy food in Brunswick: The Best Restaurants and Bars
Three couples went here, all for the first time to try out the Sunday set-menu for dinner. There were some positive things about the meal, but also some negatives. We had 3 starters to share between us, which were lots of fun - and very very tasty. The chicken liver pate was extremely good. Also, the pimento cheese was full of unique flavors - we all were wanting to know what the secret ingredient was. Liked it, though. I do say the main courses were disappointing. Chicken and Dumplings: This consisted of small cut-up bits of chicken in a sauce. The dumplings were tiny and on a side plate. I did not get this dish, but the friends that ordered it were disappointed. Usually there is a whole piece of chicken and the dumplings are in the sauce....at least in my past experience. I had a pork chop. It was fine, tender, but was accompanied by a bland mushroom sauce. It might have been better with a sauce that has some zing (like mustard sauce) or a tart homemade applesauce. The service was good, although one of us had to ask for our drink (just tea) to be replenished. We had a look at the regular menu for other nights, days. We will come back and try the other menus. I really liked the starters - - - Hopefully this is helpful to the restaurant.
