Stopped in on Friday for lunch. My wife got the souvlaki and I got the pork gyro. This place is really good and not really expensive. I got the Greek salad and it was great. Really friendly people and a great location. We will eat here again.

We really enjoyed our meal at this joint. The food was delicious - we ordered the leek and spinach pies, the flaming cheese of course, and many other things. We had a tapas sort of meal and it was filling and fun! The service was great! The server checked on us several times and the ambiance was really nice with blue as their decor! Loved it would definitely go back!

Athens Greek Restaurant

Based on the reviews, I stopped here for dinner while I was in the area. Just as described this is a place with very good food and an inviting atmosphere. They mentioned that the lunch crowd is usually the biggest part of their day but they had a steady stream of customers on this night. Many they knew by name but their friendly service was extended to everyone who came through the door. You can dine in or get it for take out. The food was prepared quickly. I got the gyro salad with lamb and it was very good. There were a lot of other good choices on the menu and it would definitely be worth a return trip.

Gyro City Grill

Gyro City recently opened a new branch in Roswell and has proven to be an immediate success. This Taverna type restaurant is more than just gyros. They offer a complete menu ranging from flaming Saganaki to the most outrageous desserts (including the traditional baklava). Their featured 8" high cakes are sliced large enough to "feed the Greek army." The moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a big smile and seated. On our third visit, we had to wait five minutes while a group was leaving and the tables were cleared and cleaned. Upon seating, you are offered a choice of drinks, including Soda, wines and beer as well as water. Even before ordering, the wait staff brings you the most delicious cup of avgolemono (Greek lemon soup with orzo and large pieces of chicken. This is the best that I have ever tasted. This was accompanied by a plate of assorted complimentary hors d'ovres including chick peas & onions, a pureed pinto bean mix, pickled beets and bow tie pasta. As I mentioned above, this is our third visit after falling into this restaurant after a long day of shopping. We have never ordered the same dish twice and each new choice has been tasty and well presented. This time, I had the kotopoulo fourno (baked chicken with lemon potatoes and a rice mixture accompanied by sauteed string beans and carrots. My wife had the featured Greek combination platter of Spanakopita, Pastitsio, and Mousaka, also accompanied by the combo of potatoes, rice and mixed vegetables. She had two glasses of a delightful Greek wine similar to Pino Grigio while I (as the designated driver) had a lemon Coke. The meal was topped off with a gift of a large triangle of baklava. However, we were intrigued by the dessert offerings and ordered an Oreo cheese cake cake combo which contained plain cheese cake (NY style), oreo cheese cake, chocolate cake, and covered with a marshmallow frosing which held oreo cookies. Two bites in, we gave up and brought the rest home to enjoy the rest of the week along with our treasure trove of main dish left overs. All I can say is, "if you can finish your plate, you must be Paul Bunyan" as the portions are enormous and are served on a platter rather than a dinner plate. My hat's off to the owner, chef, and wait staff for a delightful evening. We are not rushed even though the restaurant was buzzing with potential diners. Now that the weather is nice, their outside dining patio will be put to full use. You must go; you will not be disappointed. We are expecting two sets of company in the next three weeks and will take them to Gyro City for a treat that they won't forget.
