We tried this restaurant after a recommendation and it didn't disappoint. They have a variety of options on the menu and the complimentary garlic knots are delicious. The service was really good and they were extra accommodating when my husband didnt care for an item. It was quickly and pleasantly replaced without issue. I didn't try any alcoholic beverages but my husband seemed pleased with the wine selections. This isn't a fancy restaurant-- more like a family, neighborhood gem. The biggest downside is that they do not take reservations ( but we no wait when we arrived).

Celebrated my wife's birthday here with a surprise party. Restaurant was understaffed according to them but we never noticed it. It was the Monday night after Father's Day. A rather large group of 20 plus people. Great food great service. They let us bring in a birthday cake and happily provided plates and a cake cutter as well as to go boxes. Lucked out with the Monday night dining special. Wasn't aware of it but it sure helped the budget. We eat often at the one in Athens Ga. This one was great as well.

Found this place while visiting in the area. The location had changed to a place a little further up the road from the address given on Trip Advisor. Busy on a Sunday for lunch. We had the Calzone and Special Spaghetti. Both were delicious but the Calzone crust was a little burnt. The newer place accommodates a larger crowd.

Nice little place for cheap eats. I ordered the 10 inch BBQ chicken pizza with a pint of some local brew. All for less than 15 bucks. It isn't the best BBQ Chicken Pizza but it is in the top 5 for sure especially with their ranch dressing on the side. Very courteous staff! If I am in town again I will be back here! Thanks so much for the 5 star review! We're thrilled you enjoyed your pizza and experience and look forward to serving you again soon. We ate here with some family members. There was a total of 5 in our party. Two of us ordered the “ippoglosso, halibut, summer squash, concentrated tomato, castelvetrano olives, pistachio-mint gremolata”. It came out very over cooked on both our plates. The sauce was so salty that I couldn’t even eat it, I pushed it to the side. There were no olives or tomatoes on the plate and just a few pitiful cubes of squash. My fish was in 2 pieces and dry.To be fair, I didn’t give them a chance to correct the problem as we were with older family members and I didn’t want to embarrass them by sending my dish back. I have eaten here numerous times and have been happy but this was plain awful. Especially since this fish dish is a staple on the menu. For both of them to come out wrong, shame on them! There is no excuse.Other people at the table ordered pasta dishes and they were tasty. Due yourself a favor and stick to a pasta dish. The bread is very good as well. Also be aware that the meat sauce and meatballs contain pork.

We used to live in Dunwoody but now we live in North Carolina but this place is worth driving to even if we weren't going back to see family. Although we first went there 20 years ago, it's as good as ever. And Charlie is still around! For something different, buy the frozen Italian cervalat Cheese and Parsley sausage. It is unlike typical Italian sausage in that it is thinner (thickness of a thumb), not hot spicy but flavorful, not sold in links but is one long 2 foot or more link, and is cooked on an outdoor grill rather than browned then cooked in tomato sauce. It is best eaten on some good Italian bread like that sold at E 48th.To die for!

Rule #1 - There’s safety in numbers. Don’t go to Hearth unless you are in a group of eight or more. If you violate this rule, you may be trampled underfoot by the thundering hordes - and virtually ignored by the serving staff (I had to search for my server to pay the bill).Rule #2 - Louder = FunnierGo to Hearth only if you firmly believe that if you say something louder, it will certainly be funnier. If you enjoy reasonable volume and an ability to hear your own thoughts, try the train yard down on Marietta Street first.Rule #3 - Bring along effective enforcers. If you want to enjoy your meal in a reasonable atmosphere - not quiet nor intimate, those being unreasonable expectations - bring your own R.E.T. (reasonableness enforcement team). Management could not possibly care less about unutterable obnoxiousness. No one said a single thing to four of the loudest, most obnoxious groups I’ve ever experienced as they yelled at each other at close range in superhuman volumes and guffawed and brayed uncontrollably for a non-stop hour. I thought they were going to start a food fight. The food is at least passable, the beer list is OK, and it’s not a wine place so don’t worry about that. But if your want to hear the first syllable spoken by your dining partner, there are places in town where that is not only possible, but expected.
