Very good restaurant. On holiday in Valence, my wife and I went to eat at Nour. The Lebanese food was excellent and the staff was very pleasant. We will come back!

Driving from Luxembourg to Saint-Tropez we stopped off at Valence on an overnight break, the suggested restaurants were crowded and unable to get us a table for hours when we stumbled across this charming Moroccan restaurant. Despite being very busy we were found a table, it was explained that as it was busy we may have to wait a while for our food. The wait wasn't too bad, a short while for the order to be taken but drinks and olives were served quickly. The meal was good, a lamb Tajine with with lots of the usual dried fruits. The rice was unusual, served with black lentils through it, it added a nice texture to the meal. The staff, though rushed off their feet, were attentive and helpful with suggestions from the menu. It appears to be a family run business. When we were there the weather was nice and we sat in the courtyard but there are a few tables inside. There was a limited traditional menu and a well stocked bar serving some unusual cocktails. Unfortunately the full sweet menu wasn't available when we were there but the dish I had (a nameless cream and caramel concoction with spices) was very nice.A word of warning, on the way back to the car park passing the large gravel pedestrianised area at Boulevard Bancel a cyclist unsuccessfully tried to snatch my wife's handbag, we managed to foil him but only because he was too noisy coming up behind us. There were several other cyclists milling about in the area, possibly intent on the same thing. They only dispersed when we approached a passing Police National patrol and advised them of what had happened.

A group of us enjoyed an excellent dinner at Sassoun. Outstanding flavors, and good menu selection. I love Middle Eastern food so this Armenian / Lebanese restaurant was a great find. Everything is fresh and tastes fantastic. Small restaurant setting which makes for a very enjoyable intimate dinner. I can only recommend.

From the outside it does not say much, but do enter for a nice surprise. The food was wonderful, seriously spiced but balanced, resulting in the kind of authentic taste very seldom found in Europe when trying Moroccan cuisine. We tried a few dishes, all were good, but the tagines were outstanding. The decor is quite beautiful and, after querying, we found out it is handmade by an artist in Fez. English language was not a problem. Strongly recommended. One suggestion for the manager: please add also white wine to the menu, there should be plenty of good ones in the region; red and rose wines were well represented.Dear guest,Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We work expence of products and the consistent quality of our service is a daily concern. We are grateful to you for giving us the opportunity to meet you and sincerely hope to have the opportunity to receive you again

We managed to get the last available table outside overlooking the main town square and settled down for a lovely meal from the 30 Euro 'formule'. Everything was delicious - Coquillages gratinés and Petite planche de charcuterie starters, St Jacques et gambas and Côtes premières d'agneau grillées mains, Mi-cuit coulant au chocolat and fromages desserts. Delicious. We will return!
