Don't be fooled by the posters promising homemade gourmet burgers. They're not. Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming them, but the gorgeous looking burgers on the posters aren't the same that arrive at your table. They're nice enough, but it's catering standard scoff. The girls had a Cesar salad and again it was something that seemed more Brake Bros than prepared by kitchen staff. But it's ok for pub nosh but not refined. Have normally drunk beer here at the micro brewery but this time celebrated a birthday by having a meal upstairs in the restaurant. Great decor and atmosphere and service was very good. Food was excellent, tartiflette, chicken curry and steak was all excellent. Deserts were great too. Beer from the micro brewery up to its normal excellent standard as ever. Will definitely return again.

Nous n'avions pas réservé, mais nous avons été accueillis et pris en charge avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Chaque membre de cet équipage veille avec bienveillance sur sa clientèle. Nous avons eu un brunch "maison", préparé avec soin sous nos yeux... Le muffin avec son oeuf et sa sauce hollandaise : miam ! Dégusté avec un petit verre de vin banc excellent. Nous recommandons cette jolie adresse !

So lots of friends had told me that the best burgers and pizzas came from "Jerome's" as we Brits call the place. Being new to the village is limited myself to Duck on a previous visit. This time was "Burger Time!"I ordered the Simple with cheese with a couple of slices of bacon. The Double looked way too big. As it turned out, the simple is bordering on too much as well. But by crikey it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The potato wedges go hand in hand with the burger.Le Choumas is for the younger set including families and the pricing is spot on. Fills up st about 22:30 so the volume increases. The only thing that (I feel) lets it down is the draught beer. Not nice at all, that said, once I discovered that there's plenty of bottled Bud, the problem was immediately solved.All in all good experience and shall be heading here a whole lot more.
