We were a group of 4 and had a pleasant dinner at the restaurant's terrace. While the cars passing by disturbed us a little bit, it got quieter as the evening advanced... The different (typically Alsacian) meals we tried were very well prepared and the 2 (white) wines we tried were excellent, too. Overall, we would recommend this place to all tourists staying in Barr or one of the nearby villages.

Our group of six visited here on a recommendation of winery...very much a locals place, nothing fancy but solid food. The day's specials are value priced and service was great.The spatzles were the best we've had. Another couple had fish and another ravioli; both loved their dishes. I had the beef special and while the meat was a little tough/fatty, for the price it couldn't have been better. DO TRY a "tarte flambee"; simply delicious. It's a thin crusted type of pizza that they'll suggest you share. Don't! It's that good.Lady/owner speaks enough English to be helpful and attentive.

We came here on the recommendation of the guesthouse we were staying at. We are a family of 7 and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. They helped us with the menu translation (had German and French in the menu). We all liked our food and had a good experience of French food!

Absolutely wonderful evening. The food was absolutely delicious - foie gras, fish, steak, cheese and dessert for â¬45 is far too cheap for the quality of food. The hosts were so friendly too. Added a few photos - unfortunately forgot the foie gras and steak as they were my favourite! Highly recommended

We stopped here for lunch. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and the waitress was very nice and helpful. We ordered the cassoulet for three. It contained sauerkraut, potatoes, two types of sausages and two types of pork. It was a lot of hardy local food, more potatoes and less kraut would have been good. Good place for lunch.

We chose this restaurant due the good comments at TripAdvisor. When we entered the restaurant we felt a very strong smell of fish, what made us think to stay or leave. We stayed and to not have more surprises we asked for Flammkuchen. Disappointed, the dough looked like pizza dough and not Flammkuchen and not tasteful as well. Bonjour, En effet à la lecture de votre avis , j'étais très étonné. En premier temps si vous aviez des doutes sur la nourriture que je sert, pourquoi êtes vous resté??? Vous n'auriez pas eu besoin de mettre d'avis, et moi de vous répondre. Je mettrais une photo pour que les lecteurs puisse voir les poêlés de crustacés que je prépare et puisse comprendre pourquoi il y a une odeur de poisson dans le restaurant. Pour la tarte flambée personne n' a pas fini son plat ou nous a fait part de son mécontentement. Pourquoi ne pas nous l avoir dit??? Pour ce qui est de la pâte à tarte flambée oui elle est faite maison étalé à la minute et non acheté fini et fait par des presses mécanique. Les lardons sont choisi et salé au sel sec et non en saumure. La garniture que de la crème et bien sur des oignons frais. Voici la recette de la pâte à pizza: 1 kg de farine 500 g d'eau levure boulangère sel huile d'olive Pâte à tarte flambée 1 kg de farine 500 g d'eau levure boulangère sel huile de colzaun seul ingrédient change!!!! Je pense que votre note est très sévère, et n'est pas du tout en rapport avec le travail que notre équipe effectue tous les jours. J'espère que vous vous manifesterez la prochaine fois que se soit ailleurs ou chez nous. Quand il y a une plainte on l'entend et on essaye de tout faire pour que le client soit satisfait. Cordialement.

This is a lovely restaurant, run by a couple who are the chefs. The food is of high quality and the presentation is very nice. It has an attractive bar and a good wine list. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was outstanding. A very nice place for a special occasion.

We stayed at the 5 Terres Hotel&Spa in Barr and booked a table at the "La Table du 5" for our Anniversary Dinner. The modern atmosphere is mixed with the old architecture of the Building and stylishly furnished. The waiters all speak English and some also German. All very friendly and attentively. After ordering the Menu, the Sommelier came to us, and helped choose from a large Wine list with some great regional Wines, especially from the Grand Cru Region around Barr. I choose the Chefs Suggestion Menu, 3 Courses for 48â¬. Starter was pooched Egg with Patato Mash and Truffle Creme, Saint Daniel 18months and fresh chanterelles. Main course was Magret du Canard and for desert we both had a frozen Sorbet. Because it was our Anniversary, very unexpected, they brought us a Strawberry Creme Cake with a little light Show! Thanks very much again for that surprise. We are definitely coming back!

This restaurant was rated quite high in the town of Barr. Honestly speaking, my starter of shrimp tempura was not good. The main w fish and black rice was good, nothing fancy, solid home cooking. I skipped my hotel restaurant at Mgallery by Sofitel to come here which was a big mistake. If you have one meal here, make sure you go to Mgallery la Table du 5 which offers definitely a refined gourmet dinner in a modern charming setting.

We called the same day and they made an effort to get us in. Only 7 tables it is advisable to book in advance. Very personal reception and excellent service throughout the evening. We took the middle menu with matching wines which as well included several amuse boucheâs. Extremely pleased with the evening.
