As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 13,591. The Oldsmar name dates to April 12, 1916 when automobile pioneer Ransom E. Olds purchased 37,541 acres (151.92 km) of land by the northern part of Tampa Bay to establish "R. E. Olds-on-the-Bay". The name was later changed to Oldsmar, then to "Tampa Shores" in 1927, and finally back to Oldsmar in 1937. Ransom Olds named some of the original streets himself, such as Gim Gong Road for Lue Gim Gong.

Largest, brightest Starbucks I have been to (and I am a groupie!). The staff literally cannot be beat! everything about this place is perfect. I will definitely make this my fave even though it is a little further from home than the 4 surrounding Starbucks near me. This should be a training model for other stores!

This cafe is open only for breakfast and lunch until 3pm. Wonderfully prepared fresh food with great breakfast choices. Located in a small mall. A very pleasant surprise was the outdoor dining area in the courtyard. Great to sit back and enjoy a leisurely meal.

I visited here with my wife and another couple to enjoy some live horse racing and to enjoy a libation and some good food. It was our third visit over the past two years.My wife ordered a tuna fish sandwich and I ordered a cup of bisque soup and the whole chunk crab cakes. Our either couple ordered the board appetizer with cheese , fruit, and some kinds of meat or olive concoctions with bread pieces so hard he could not bite into them.My wife is very knowledgeable about good tuna and her sandwich was not good tunaI enjoyed the bisque soup but found the crab cake sauce to be too spicy for my taste and suggest it be toned down a few degrees.Our libations were fine and nicely served in an attractive way We had to ask the waitress to bring us some bread and when my friend asked for bread to replace the uneatable bread that came with the appetizer board , he was advised that it would cost more but she would provide crackers ! Are you kidding me !We quietly made our concerns to the lady in charge of the dinning room and she was very concerned and apologized. She brought my wife a different tuna sandwich and took it off our bill as well she took the appetizer bill of our other couples bill. She is customer oriented and did the right thing and we commend her for her actions.In our previous two visits we found the food too be much better . Have you changed chefs in the past two years ? Please train your wait staff to remember that a customer is the most important person they will encounter that day in earning a tip and goodwill.

Called ahead one hour, checked in 35 minutes early. Still waiting 45 minutes later for seat. Canât tell you about the food but the wait is unacceptable Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for your long wait time. We are honored that our cafe is local favorite for many and we understand that sometimes this can increase our wait times. We again wanted to apologize for your less than exceptional experience in our cafe and we do hope you'll consider giving us another try in the future.
