Reviewed By Edith HExcellent location in the centre of the town. Priced ok for a hostel. We stayed one night visiting the area. Espinosa is a very charming little town with an interesting old part, The person who greeted us wasn´t the friendliest, but ok. The room was very clean and tidy. Only one suggestion- there was no lamp on the nightstand in case one wants to read in bed. The noise from the plaza was too much, but I imagine in winter months is not so bad, besides we were warned about it. If I had more time in advance I would have looked for a bit better place.

stressfull, upsetting, horrid experience
Reviewed By bootsanallWe arrived at this so called hotel to find the place locked despite arriving within the booking period specified by Booking.com. The closed gates were rusty and dirty and the garden neglected with rubbish sacks piled up in one corner. We had booked in for 4 nights and expected to find the services of an hotel. Whilst the owner was prepared to take our money he was not prepared to pay for a receptionist to see us into the hotel, help us with our luggage or,in fact, anything. This has never happened to us before. After an abortive visit by a Spanish woman who we could not understand, we were told to wait for two hours before being allowed admittance. We went on our way and found the excellent Posada La Taxuela not too far away. This delightful, family run hotel provided everything the Posada Real Torre Berrueza had failed to do. They could not have looked after us better . Quite a contrast. Despite a clear dereliction of duty to his customers, the owner made a charge and Booking.com were worse than useless in supporting our case despite endless emails to approx 6 ‘customer Care’ people. This really was a case of the customer NOT being king in any sense. The place is in a back street of this town and is hemmed in by other buildings. They have no parking and there is nowhere nearby as all the roads are narrow. Sadly, we were not able to see if this was a great place or not. Rather a shame.

Reviewed By leyreooHemos estado con unos amigos y los niños en las casas rurales de las machorras para 4 personas y ha sido estupendo.Lidia se encargó de calentarnos la casa para nuestra llegada, además de la chimenea para extasiarse con el fuego cuenta con sendos radiadores y unas paredes de piedra que no dejan pasar ni las balas.Ideal para ir a visitar la nieve con frío fuera. Además cuenta con todo lujo de detalles, desde lavavajillas, hasta pelapatatas, olla a presión, secador y batidora! Las casas por dentro están decoradas con mucho mimo y LIdia te ayuda en todo lo que necesites y te facilita la estancia, las entradas y salidas y todo lo que le solicites.Es una mujer muy ocupada pero se la puede localizar por tf(cuidado con la cobertura si eres de Vodafone)y en el bar que regenta y que sirve unos caldos y unos menús excelentes. En resumen, nos hemos sentido muy acogidos y a la vez muy libres.Agradecidos de haber estado allí, recomendable 100%
