Reviewed By DJWEdinburghReally nice small hotel with friendly staff. Good location for exploring the area or in our case, good stop over after a bumpy ferry crossing on our way to Fuengirola. Great value. Basic breakfast but adequate and plentiful. Nice small garden, happy for you to take your own wine out and relax.

Reviewed By Ian TWe have stayed here on previous visits to Spain and always enjoy this excellent B&B which is convenient if you catching the ferry from either Bilbao or Santander. On this trip (October 2021) we found that the son of the owner has set up a pizza caravan at the top of the back garden. The pizzas are excellent and mean that you are saved a drive to Escalante to eat at night. The pizza caravan is open all year round Thursday to Sunday and starts serving between 19.30 and 20.00 in the evening. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By MaehbAbout 30 minutes drive from Santander along the coast is this hidden gem. It has simply everything. A quality, 16th century Spanish villa with enough character to make you feel like you have stepped back in time. A gated, tastefully restored historic residence with a collection of art throughout, for all tastes. Then there are the rooms. They are big enough to be suites and again fitted out with dark, ornate Spanish furniture, and yet fully modern too with amazing en suite bathrooms. The standard would put many a 5 star hotel to shame. The food was exceptional, including breakfast. The grounds are beautiful with many nooks to sit in and listen to the birds, either in shade or sun. The pool is well thought out too with a wooden roof to keep the worst of the sun away. Fields and forest surround the hotel and the village is about 20 minuet walk away. This place is a best kept secret and the staff are also very kind and helpful.

Reviewed By Ann WAuthentic rustic posada in a quaint historic village. Clean and comfortable room but some noise from road in early morning. Otherwise a good nights sleep. Tasty breakfast prepared by owners. Free pick up from and to Noja which was our finishing point on the walk. Very helpful owners who told us lots about the local area and its history.

Reviewed By Propietario_LimoThird time we stay at this lovely and cosy inn. Location is excellent just next to the main square. Only a few cute rooms. Great service by the staff. Breakfast is done right. The town is lovely but not much to do.
