Reviewed By dbutle751625Great place to stay while visiting for the bluebonnet festival. Highly recommend staying here. It was like a home away from home. Breakfast was good & the room was very comfortable. The view was nice as well.

Great comfort, huge room with very friendly staff.
Reviewed By 310neilfAfter four nights in big modern hotels the Quality Inn, Ennis was quite a shift in size, style and climate. Unique and old school furniture, curtains etc. made for a good experience. Very friendly staff. If I really had to be picky it was the breakfast that's not up to their other standards. Probably still covid related but polystyrene plates and plastic cutlerynis never a nice way to enjoy food. But that's the only matter. Thanks very much. I even got a personalized welcome on the old school sign outside.

clean room very poor breakfast
Reviewed By OldmovershakerThe room was clean and quite. Our main disappointment was with the Grab and Go breakfast. The bag we picked up had a moldy orange and the contents were sticky. All the desk clerk did was throw it away with no apology. I believe these hotel changes are cutting corners with the bag breakfast and it false advertising touting hot breakfast in their adds. This experience has turned me off wanting to stay at Choice hotels.

Motel 6 Ennis TX is conveniently located off I-45 near area shopping and dining. Visit the Ennis Railroad and Cultural Museum, Texas Motorplex, or Galaxy Drive-In, all within 3 miles. Enjoy free WiFi and fridge in all guest rooms. Near Dallas, Motel 6 Ennis offers the best accommodations at the most affordable hotel rates. All of our rooms have free wireless internet, flat screen television, premium cable channels and work desk. We also offer free parking and an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi. We have plenty of room for Semi Trucks. We are the best location for the annual Ennis festivals: Bluebonnet Festival, National Polka Festival, AAA Texas Fall Nationals, we are just a short drive to the Texas Motorplex Car Racing Track.
Pet friendly, but room was not cleaned
Reviewed By kitastatSpent five nights in April. The good: pet-friendly, nice area to walk dogs (so far, but may be developed), smoking rooms, friendly front desk staff, nice price, convenient. The bad: very poor housekeeping, tv didn't work for two days, no fridge or microwave (although I knew that beforehand), no coffee pot. Poor housekeeping because I couldn't tell if the sheets were ever changed during my five nights. Some days I'd have clean towels, once the towels were removed but not replaced. Plastic glasses were not replenished. Had to go to the front desk several times to mention those issues. Front desk staff wrote the info in a notebook, but apparently either no one read the notes or cared. Received an email survey/request for review from Motel 6. Mentioned the above plus more. Received NO acknowledgement. Given the other options in Ennis, I might stay in Waxahachie.

Reviewed By Mrslaura88Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and professional. I made a booking error and they let me check in anyway without a hiccup. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Everyone was so nice, the breakfast was good, the seating area was clean and spacious, and everything was well stocked.

I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone
Reviewed By diannesK7336GSIf I could, I would give this hotel a negative rating. One night I arrived at my room and found a Do Not Disturb sign on the door that I had not left. I walked in the room, the bed was not made and the hotel pillows which I never used (I bring my own pillow) was propped up against the bed headboard and you could tell someone had been in the bed. At the front desk I reported to the manage and night auditor that someone had been in my bed. Without asking me about any further information nor why I would think this, they started yelling "You are crazy, You're nuts". Several other paying guests were in the lobby while they were yelling. I could tell they were trying to intimidate me from saying anything. I was there on business and I mentioned what had happened to a fellow worker who was also staying at the same hotel. They told me someone had been coming into their room also and it wasn't the maids cleaning it. Furthermore, maintenance at the hotel had not been kept up. Nor did the shower dispenser have soap or conditioner. Staff extremely RUDE. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I moved to another Holiday Inn a few miles down the road. I did NOT feel safe at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ennis.
