Reviewed By Judy JWe would recommend this Motel to anyone passing through Emerald. The room was clean and well equipped with all we needed. The bed was very comfortable. SDtaff were friendly and obliging. Excellent location, close to shops and restaurants.

Great Stop Over
Reviewed By carolinew289We stayed at the Explorer on our relocation journey north with our dog. The owners were accomodating and friendly. Unfortunatately the restaurant was closed on our first night but we understand staffing issues at this time. The meal on our second night was great though-lovely steaks! The pool was very nice and room comfortable although it would have been nice to be in the pleasant courtyard area. If refurbishing rooms in the future I would suggest handbasin be located in the bathroom and not bedroom. All small issues and overall a lovely stay.

We are a 3 1/2 Star RACQ rated establishment with 60 fully air-conditioned rooms. Centrally located, 50 metres from PO and bank, 100m to railway station, supermarket and shopping centre. Old & Tired
Reviewed By Malificent007Sadly not much good to say about this hotel, it needs a total renovation or maybe just knock it down and rebuild. Rooms are tired, well worn, carpet feels old, bed needs replacing, furniture chipped, marks on walls a/c an old rattler that sounds like a jet engine. To top it off we pulled the dinning chair out and the back had some sticky substance on it. Think the owners have just taken the revenue and not given any thought into spending money on the place and keeping it up to date.

We are self rated 3.5 Star motel with 12 ground floor units, all with reverse cycle air conditioning, large flat screen TVs, FOXTEL, FREE WIFI,tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board, microwave and toaster (available on request). The Emerald Highlands Motel also offers a ground salt water swimming pool with spa, BBQ and dining facilities surrounding pool. There's a guest laundry with dryer and clothes line for guests convenience. We are a licensed venue, offering a selection of Beer, Wine and Spirits. We have room service meals available for dinner (Mon - Fri), and breakfast available 7 days. We are located within walking distance to shopping centre, Tavern, Bowls Club, Hospital, and various Take - Away outlets.
Nice and quiet
Reviewed By AussiePDJust looking for a place to rest overnight on our road trip. Motel is in a quite street off the main road so noise is not an issue. Our room (10) was very clean, the bed was super comfortable. The room looked like it had been updated reasonably recently and while I cannot comment on other rooms ours was very good. A short drive away is the Big Easel in the park where the Info Centre is also located. We were there after closing so did not get to look inside the pioneer village. Nice park, worth a walk through and there is a timeline with the history of Emerald as you wander along.

Different to the advertising
Reviewed By danielrF1291WEBooked an apartment for two days to have access to kitchen facilities, not quite what we expected. My wife called the property to confirm Ground Floor - no mention of the flight of stairs to get to the rooms, not accessible at all. There is no reception - access to room is through codes. They are quite pleasant and we were able to get to room early. The room is limited in facilities and fairly run down, very dusty and water on floor in bathroom (leaking toilet). There was a lack of cutlery and the whole place felt like it needed to be refurbished. I would suggest looking into other options when staying in Emerald.

The quiet off highway location is a bonus. Definitely the best motel we have stayed in as we travel through Queensland.

Reviewed By 1212naomirI love staying at the Emerald Inn every time I stay in Emerald for work. The apartments are absolutely lovely, the beds are super comfortable, its clean, quiet & secure. It is a family run business, so its lovely to see the same welcoming faces every time I stay. Its a short stroll up the road for a counter meal, or a cold beer. Fast foods & supermarkets are also walking distance.

Reviewed By Russell CWe really loved this motel the room was big and spacious and cooking facilities and table and chairs and a lovely black leather couch and the bed was so comfortable we had such a good nights sleep. The location was great close to everything. we had two nights and really wished we could stay longer. the laundry was very handy and washing machines and dryers. we used the laundry. we would stay again and hopefully longer next time. The Managers were very friendly and helpful Thankyou for our lovely stay.

Terrific spot for a stay
Reviewed By 931jackiewWe stayed one night here, on the weekend before getting the train to Longreach. The rooms are spacious and have all amenities, including microwave. The location is lovely and is near shops, restaurants etc. The service was second to none. A lovely greeting when we checked in and helpful attitude all the way through. I left something of value behind and the manager called m and arranged to have it sent to me, no fuss. We had to leave at 5am for the train and they gave us a great takeaway bag with cereal, fruit, yogurt, milk and croissants to take with us, and there were take away coffee cups in the room so I had coffee in hand as I walked out of the door. We ate at the restaurant on the Saturday and it was really lovely. Highly recommend this motel if you find yourself in Emerald.
