Cochs Pensjonat is centrally located on the corner of the Royal Palace Park in Oslo. The hotel has 205 beds and 89 rooms: single rooms, twin, 3- and 4-bedded rooms. We offer clean and tidy rooms at a reasonable rate. The reception is open 24 hour in this family run hotel. Heartily welcome!
The rooms at Cochs Pensjonat are clean, simple and budget-friendly. If you're just in a need of bed, wc and shower, it's a great place to stay in Oslo. Compared to hotels, this offers a much more economic stay. There is a little kitchen in the "budget rooms" (which is the cheapest accomondation at Cochs) where you can cook your own food. Kitchen equipment are handed out by the reception. Perfect location! Just in the corner of the Castle park.

This family-run design / boutique hotel is 30 minutes' drive from Jotunheimen National Park. It offers a personal touch, hearty food and themed rooms in a traditional, Norwegian timber house. Herangtunet’s rooms are full of character. Their unique style and décor is inspired by various cities and countries from around the world. All rooms include slippers for comfort and a tea/coffee maker for convenience. The popular and cosy hotel restaurant has a wood-burning stove and serves typical Norwegian dishes. Relaxation options include a sauna and a jacuzzi. More active guests can try fishing, hiking or canoeing. Beitostølen Ski Resort is 18 km from Hotel Herangtunet. The town of Heggenes is 5 minutes' drive away.
This place was epic! The accommodation is extremely comfortable and cozy, the food is absolutely delicious (!!), the hosts super friendly and kind and the location ideal. We were looking for somewhere to relax, hike, eat well and unwind, and Herangtunet offered exactly that. Marco and his team are awesome. Oh and the sauna and hot tub were a total hit! Would go back, no, WILL go back for sure!

Delightful, unique and characterful hotel, about as different from a chain hotel as one can imagine. Ronne was a very welcoming host, and always happy to help answer my touristy questions. The room was large, clean and warm (November in Norway!) and beautifully decorated with a mixture of old (antique furniture and paintings) and new (kettle, hob, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and the entire bathroom). The kitchen facilities within the room were perfect for our catering requirements (mainly making tea, coffee, porridge, toast etc). The hotel is situated right by the harbour in a very old and lovely part of Larvik, with the whole city within easy walking distance. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and very much hope to be able to stay there again sometime.

The food were amazing and the atmosphere was really charming. Every room has a story. Our room were the Lensmannens Kontor (Head Of Police Office). This is from old times when the building. There is also a store on the attic called Grandmother’s Attic that’s worth visiting

This is the second time I have stayed at Olympiatoppen and I intend to go again next year. This place offers a great holiday in beautiful surroundings. The ambience was sport, health and fitness - it is ideal for those wanting to inject some self-discpline into your life. At Olympiatoppen you mix with athletes and holidaymakers - the general feeling in the place is positivity. When we stayed this time we were there at the same time as a team of athletes with disabilities - the atmosphere was fantastic: friendly, welcoming and most of all determined and sport focused. For someone like myself always battling with weight and fitness this place is like a spa or a retreat - it is superb. The rooms are basic but that is all you want. I did notice that this time they put us in a double room which did have some pictures on the wall so they have taken into account the suggestions of other reviewers without ruining the ambience we sought. Breafast is even better than before with additional choices for vegans like ourselves. Coffee is still unlimited throughout the day. Transport is a stones-throw away and the nearby loch is beautiful. The loch paths are a gateway to other places further into the hinterland and this time we took our chance to explore - wonderful! I would recommend this place to everyone. It most certainly is not the Dorchester - but who would want that when you can have all this place has to offer?

I stayed 4 nights in an apartment with my boyfriend and we loved everything about this place. The apartment was clean, spacious, had all necessities. The beds were comfortable and we slept great! In addition - not only the hosts Rob and Betty are great, helpful and offering a warm welcome, but the whole vibe around the place is great. It is peaceful, quiet area, with a lot to do around - go moose watching, mountain biking, trekking, swimming, fishing. I can highly recommend this place!

A swiss style villa from 1891 in the mountains between Oslo and Bergen, respectfully restored to unfold the true soul of the old hotel. We offer 12 rooms and our guests share 5 fresh bathrooms and 7 toilets (no rooms with private bathroom). Casual, relaxed style and atmosphere. We serve a set 3-course menu daily in the summer season, and a hearty breakfast is always included for our guests. We take great pride in using the best local produce available, and we grow most of the vegetables we use ourselves at our farm next door. A terrace and a beach is located on the front side of the hotel. You can enjoy the panorama of the lake and the mountains from our rooms and from the dining room, and we have several common areas where you can relax after travelling or hiking. The hotel is surrounded by numerous mountains and hiking routes, just ask us for tips and trips.
We spent one night at Sommerhotellet in mid-July 2019. Stein is a truly wonderful host, quick to accomodate us in any way possible, and always flexible on the solutions. Sommerhotellet is a classic old villa, with the charms that come with. To us,what's important is a clean place, comfortable beds, showers with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, great cooking, and beautiful surroundings. We can assure you that Sommerhotellet over-delivers on all of these points.

Stayed here for 3 nights for work close by. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very nice food in the restaurant but note that it closes at 8pm. There literally is nowhere else for miles so might have been nice if they were open a bit later. Food and drink are very expensive compared to UK prices but that is across Norway. We didn’t have breakfast as we were at work before it started. (9am) Really struggled to find anywhere to eat breakfast and lunch anywhere so lived on snickers and Mars bars in the day and ate at the restaurant in the evening. Maybe the motel could offer packed lunches? If they do, it wasn’t advertised but to be fair we didn’t ask. Friendly, helpful staff and beautiful surroundings. Drove about two hours from the airport near Oslo and it was a really easy drive although the Norway speed limits are very slow and there are cameras everywhere. Would stay there again.
