It's wonderful to find a restaurant in Balikpapan that consistently serves good food. I have been to De Cafe many times for lunch, and their menu items are always available and delicious. We spent 3 nights in the eco room, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning with amazing views of Balikpapan. Only real issue was no hot water available in the shower and our room did smell a little moldy. The restaurant has quite good food but was often out of certain dishes and is quite expensive comparatively. Otherwise it was on of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been in, definitely recommended

The restaurant is in the main road near airport, facing the sea. Beautiful trees and interesting huts were placed strategically. Great area for photo shoot, read that they are charging 1 million for pre wedding photo shoots. Only ordered snacks so cant comment on the food.

There's been some mistake in this review and photo. Batakan Beach Club (BBC) is different from Beach House( in here they call it Batakan Beach House). They are only 3miles away from each other. Batakan beach Club or BBC is a fine dining restaurant. The photo shows wood table and chair with bar and billiard table(pool). Flags from country around the world is hung around the bar. The food is very recomended with great service. The interior looks very masculin. Lots of expats dine here for lunch n dinner. The view out side the resto is average. You only can look at the plain sea with no tree or coral sand! You even cannot reach the sea because it is closed with bar fence. ( find Beach House to see my review about it)
