Good for what is available

We stayed for 1 night on a recent west coast road trip. As you can see there are only really 8 hotels in the area so the picking is slim. The hotel is showing it's age but the rooms were clean and comfortable. From what I can tell from other hotel options, all hotels in this area are older. Although our room was at the end right next to the road, we couldn't really hear it. Also note that it is a motel (access only from the outside). The breakfast was typical. We didn't get to use the pool. Check in and out was easy. The price is high, but is similar to others in the area so probably not able to get away from that.

Overpriced and a very dated property. Not worth the money.

Reviewed By Camper03646908620

This property is clearly dated and worn out! Doors don’t fit nor close properly, blinds don’t slide properly, HVAC. slow to respond and thermostats difficult to read and operate. In-room coffee maker old style and makes poor tasting coffee AND the in-house restaurant is closed. The property is significantly overpriced by 50%or more! It’s not cheap and it’s not comfortable. I don’t recommend staying here.

MOTEL 6 Coos Bay Or.

Reviewed By Vicky H

We chose this Motel for my daughter's birthday because they had an option for a suite with a jetted tub, gas fireplace, and kitchenette. We called to say that we would be late, the office was very pleasant, assuring us that would be fine. Even though it is located on 101 across from the coast guard station our stay was quiet. Only real down side is parking the lot is crowded and difficult for larger pickups and SUVs.

I like this place, reminds me of staying in motels with my dad back in the 60s

Reviewed By 817ctb

I was on a road trip by myself from Seattle to LA, down the coast, to deliver a car to my son attending college. I needed a relatively cheap hotel just for myself, preferably something near the water or otherwise an interesting location. This hit the spot for me. I paid the extra $10 to be on the river side, although I really couldn't see the water because I was on the first floor. The room was clean and had an old style kitchenette. Candidly, I wish I could have stayed longer, but I was out and on the road at 7:00 AM.

Rooms are very outdated. Staff so-so

Reviewed By avaine

The rooms are very poor quality worn down and can use serious upgrade. Plus the building seems to be shifting? Did not look or feel level. Not worth the price. At least the room was really big. But odd the bathroom was really small and shower only for the size of the room. Staff were ok not overly friendly but did not speak very good English so hard to understand.

Horrible mattresses!

Reviewed By 777KathrynP

This place is very sketchy. I was booked for 4 nights but left after 2. I could not sleep in the sunken old decrepit mattress! I could not even sit on the side of it. The property is trashy and the RV'ers are not temporary. The owner spent money to 'remodel' the place but then used very old used mattresses. Disgusting! You can't even open the curtains during the day because the walkway is right by your window, so anyone walking to their car is looking in at you. Very depressing place. What a rip off!

You get what you pay for

Hubby and I stayed here over the 3 day weekend and the room was nice, especially for the price, but very noisy location. Earplugs helped us sleep at nights, but the constant screaming of tires and mufflers from the Chevron next door was too much. Seems they have long term tenants at this motel, but everyone seemed polite and courteous to us, especially the on-site manager. I really can't complain. No bugs, clean room and for the price, you get what you pay for.
