Connecticut, United States Food Guide: 9 Pizza food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Hartford

Reviews on Pizza food in Hartford, Connecticut, United States. From its origins as a Connecticut River trading post in 1633, Hartford has become not only the state capital but also the insurance capital of the world, with a slew of historical attractions, a thriving arts and entertainment center, a revitalized riverfront and beautiful parks and public gardens. It was here that the lovable Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer were born in the imagination of celebrated author Mark Twain and immortalized on paper during the writer's Hartford years. Twain's home and those of fellow literary figures Harriet Beecher Stowe and Noah Webster are open to the public. The Wadsworth Atheneum, the oldest public art museum in the U.S., houses Pilgrim-Century furniture, the Amistad collection and a special treasure hunt system to entice kids to explore the museum's works. If your timing is right (end of June, beginning of July), you'll catch the Elizabeth Park rose gardens in bloom, but fall is also great for brilliant leaf colors, and spring yields colorful gardens and blossoming trees. For a bird's-eye view of the city, visit the observation deck of Travelers Tower, where you might also spot two resident falcons.

My boyfriend and I visited Hartford for the first time and chose this small restaurant for it's uniqueness and the fact that it's attached to a movie theater. Our food was excellent and served quickly. Our waitress, Carmen, was very personable and gave us plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. We went on a friday night and I was surprised at how empty the restaurant was. The place is great and simply needs more exposure!!

This is a standard fast food place. The menu has a better variety though and the food is better than your standard joint. Yet the prices remain very reasonable. An added positive is that I never have an issue with my order when getting take-out, as is often the case with too many other establishments.

Have read many great reviews of this establishment, that was the main reason I went there. Pizza was very good as advertised, but steak sub was very dry, almost to the point of being inedible. My waitress was not a native English speaker, and I had trouble understanding her. Other wait staff seemed indifferent, not particularly friendly. I know everyone can have a bad night, so If in the area again, I would give them another chance.

I ordered a prosciutto grinder here on 6/2 and it was delicious as usual. My only concern was the cleanliness. The front case was nearly empty except for a few nearly empty containers and cheese/meat wrappers. The glass was dirty and the womam who served my gringer was covered in sauce etc. Ive never gotten sick and I do love the grinders so i'm willing to put up with the filth.

Having lived in a town with another Vito’s in it, it was great to find V’s. This was formerly Vitos on the Park, which had moved to another location. We had a great lunch there, ordering several small plates to share. When we tasted the sausage and pepper plate it brought us back to the many pizzas we had in another location where we used to live. The artichokes were wonderful, as were the spicy shrimp. To us, the best plate we had was pork belly served over polenta. As my husband put it, it was always the sauce! Great wine selection, and you could choose between a 6 oz. glass, a 8 oz. one or a bottle. What made it special for us was the service and the visit from the owner to our table.Hi Noe1ani,Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are happy to hear you enjoyed your meals and the service. We do hope to see you again soon.Have a great day!

My family has been patronizing Angelina's for years! To say this restaurant is awesome would be an understatement. The staff - Joe, John, and everyone else are the most descent and honest people you will meet. The pizza ,grinders, and salads all are awesome. The portions are huge so bring your appetite. Just a secret - Joe's chicken wings are only second to J. Timothys. You will always find a friend at Angelina's. Even during crowded times you will be welcome to share a table with anyone.

The pizza arrived timely and the Uber eats driver was polite. The pizza had good flavors and ingredients, but unless you are hungry for pizza mush don't get this pizza delivered. 59 years of eating pizza and this was the soggiest crust I have ever seen. Could not even pick it up. Had to eat the toppings with a fork.

We ate here before the women's basketball game against South Carolina. The food was consistently excellent, we had a very good bottle of wine, and everything was delivered quickly enough so that we had plenty of time to get to the Civic Center (officially, now the XL Center.) I had the roasted chicken ravioli, which comes with a tangy brown sauce that was excellent. My wife had the shrimp scampi, which was also excellent. The other couple was very happy with their salmon and the carbonera. Shout out to Nick S for excellent service.
