My wife and I enjoyed our recent dining experience at The Capital Grille with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. We were seated promptly and our server was personable but professional. Our cocktails were perfectly prepared and our steaks were delicious. My brother-in-law enjoyed the sea scallops while my wife and I had the bone-in filet mignon and my sister-in-law had the small filet. We also ordered side dishes of au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach that complemented our entrees. We decided to pass on dessert. We would recommend The Capital Grille and plan to return whenever we're in the Stamford area.

I hate to give out poor ratings but I think they may deserve it. We moved down the street 2 weeks ago. Twice we got dressed and wandered over to try it out. Both times we did not have a reservation. Both times we were met with an unfriendly, hostess who basically sent us away. We won't give them another shot. Too bad because it's so close. I suggest you train your employees to be friendlier and kinder and at least 'try' to accommodate walk ins.

Gabriele's Italian Steakhouse

The ambiance is very nice. It is upscale dining with a masculine feeling; like a traditional steakhouse. The bar is spacious and comfortable. They have a large number of beverage selections. The table seating is very pleasant. The menu has traditional excellent steaks. The also have excellent seafood, pasta and other choices. Try the pork chop; very unique. The wine menu is plentiful. It is pricey- to be expected; it’s fine dining in Greenwich. The service was very attentive.
