After seeing them featured on Crusin' Connecticut last year on our local news channel, I knew I wanted to make this a stop for breakfast while we were staying in Old Saybrook. We popped in on a Monday morning, waitress was friendly, and we were served quickly. My mother ordered a Belgian waffle with blueberries and she ate the whole thing which is saying a lot for my 86 year old mother! My daughter and I both had breakfast sandwiches with home fries. I had asked for no cheese and it came with cheese anyway - not a big deal. Sandwich was very good, the roll very tasty. I had hot tea which could have been hotter as it took quite a while for the tea bag to turn the hot water into tea, lol. They have a huge selection on their menu. Mirsina's is located on Main Street which is so quaint, parking is right out front.

The farther you get away from New York and New Haven, the scarier pizza can become (not always....I said 'can come'...so relax). This place is an exception. The pizza here is wonderful....if you like Greek style (which I do). Nice crust, on the thick side but still crunchy. Great toppings and cheese. Real sausage and nice quality pepperoni. And get a salad while you're at it....they're huge!!! We did takeout but the place is about as typical as you can get...cozy, warm and, well, just a neighborhood pizza place. The staff at the register at least were incredibly nice too. Check it out. Can't wait to go back.

This is a very friendly little place on the main drag in Old Saybrook. We were in for breakfast, and were quickly seated and fixed up with tea and coffee. The Hash Benny sounded good, and they were. Corned beef hash on an english muffin, topped with Hollandaise and a poached egg. It was even better than it sounds! Our server was fast and very efficient, but still able to chat about the menu, town and cafe. Just a great experience all the way around!

If you want an old-style Italian pig-out, this is the place., Charming decor, good service, with an Italian pasta, chicken, veal, etc., and pizza menu. After recovering from the flu, my wife and I needed a pick-me-up - TJ's hit the spot. Servings are huge - each one could easily serve two. The pizza is Greek-style - very nice. The Chicken Florentine was extremely tasty, lots of chicken with spinach and pasta.. Only downer was the wine - small selection, and only middling quality. Also, get there by 6 on a Saturday night, as the dining room is small. Otherwise you may face a long wait.

Full service Bar & dining-room , great food, large menu, reasonable prices. Enclosed porch, smoking deck, Pinball, Pool & Darts. Wifi Juke-Box. Bar is open Mon- Thurs 9:00am - 1:00am Friday & Saturday 9:00am-2:00am Sunday 11:00am - 1:00 am
We had never stopped here before - not pleased. The place is mainly for drinkers packed around a noisy bar. Food is ordinary, service is slow. Many other better choices in the area. Cannot recommend.

Our meal here was very enjoyable and delicious! It wasn't too crowded on a Thursday evening though reservations are still recommended. Drinks and entrees were not too expensive. The menu is rather limited but has a good choice for all types of food from fish to a good hangar steak. The truffle fries are served piping hot and good. Good bread accompanies the meal and desserts are tasty and reasonably priced. Not far from I 95 N or S and on the edge of the Main Street area in Old Saybrook. Service is excellent.

Had lunch here today, sat outside, other people had their dogs sitting or lying with them. I had the shrimp salad and my husband had the plant based burger. My salad had s nice mix of flavors and his did taste like a burger. We each had the dressing on the side and only used 1/2 of it.

I reserved a private room for an event during the brunch time. This is my third time having an event at Fresh Salt. Ellen, Liz and other staff were all super accommodating, easy to work with and helped us with another memorable event. Heather was designated to our room and was great at keeping things smooth. The buffet was delicious, plenty of variety for all my picky eaters. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Our cake (special order) was spectacular. The raspberry mouse filling was delightful, refreshing and so moist. Thank you for meeting all our needs and exceeding all of our expectations yet again! Mgwis,Thank you kindly, it is rewarding to all of our team to receive your compliments. This restaurant is truly a gem. From the moment you walk in it sets a tone. The service was outstanding. The food fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. We had oysters, octopus, ravioli (special lobster and mushroom) and swordfish all absolutely to die for. Our only disappointment is not leaving any room for dessert. I can honestly say that I canât wait to return. Reservations are strongly recommended we were there Saturday 7:45 and the place was packed.

From pastas to seafood to Barbeque ribs brisket pulled pork , Pulled Chicken, Sunday brunch and Happy Hour Menu
Just on the western fringes of Niantic, with excellent free parking, is Charlies Place. Our early Wednesday evening dinner was a mix of Italian and American dishes that were well proportioned, tasty and reasonably priced. The dining crowd was on the light side (5:45pm ?) and the service was excellent. We had a 7pm appointment in the village and the waitstaff accommodated that requirement with a smile. We'd be pleased to come back and dine again.
