Reviewed By johnszabo2015Don’t waste money eating here. At dinner two cocky young boys were in charge and acted snooty not allowing us choice of seats in a completely empty restaurant at 7 pm. Then they let us sit 20 minutes without coming even once to take a drink order or anything. Empty restaurant. We left! Breakfast was terrible. Cheapest quality supermarket baguette and viennoiseries. Nothing of high quality. Coffee marginal. Do not be misled booking meals here!

Great dinner in terrible dining room
Reviewed By KfrancisWe didn't stay in this hotel, but were told that the rooms, and especially the bathrooms, were appalling. The dining room, which had a lovely position overlooking the lake, was positively dreadful. The 6 of us were squashed into a corner with little or no room to move. Having said that, the meal itself was very tasty and well-presented and good value for money. Just a shame that the surroundings didn't match up to the food.

Chateau du Grand Val is a beautiful little chateau dating back to the 15th century with outstanding views of the valley and the village. More charming than an apartment, larger than a villa and more personal than a hotel. Rent the entire chateau or any of the beautiful outbuildings in the park. Indulge yourselves or pick exactly what you want. Breakfast? Celebrity chef? All inclusive? We have 7 spacious and luxurious rooms inside the castle and also 3 typicals gites of Brittany around.

Reviewed By Acrowder0606We rented the chateau and the carriage houses for our wedding and it was an all around perfect experiences. The chateau and grounds are impeccable. The chateau maintains character and charm but is still renovated and comfortable to stay in. The grounds are gorgeous. The carriage houses are wonderful for guests. The chapel, pool and lake are all added benefits! The owners are the most wonderful hosts that you can imagine. They helped me to execute my wedding vision perfectly, even from abroad. I cannot recommend Chateau du Grand Val highly enough. We will certainly be back to celebrate our anniversary in the future!

Au calme
Reviewed By ludol749Un accueil des propriétaires très agréables, un lieu calme et reposant. Les extérieurs sont plutôt bien entretenus et très propres, les gîtes sont très mignons et plutôt rustiques,bon évidemment, les bancs couinent, le parquet aussi, il faut se baisser pour fermer certaines fenêtres, il ne faut pas utiliser les WC et que quelqu'un prenne une douche en même temps...mais pour nous, tous ces défauts font le charme de ce lieu, et puis ce sont des détails. Les propriétaires font les travaux à leur vitesse. On leur pardonne facilement.. Un grand merci encore pour votre accueil.
