Reviewed By Karen BAll clean and everything but just like a prison cell type room which left us depressed. Reminded my of my student days which were 40 years ago. There is nothing around the hotel in terms of getting a drink or something to eat. It was very quiet which suggested it is not popular.

Reviewed By roger mwe were cycling and they stored our bikes. Very friendly reception. Used to be an F! so shared toilets and showers but all clean and well kept. Basic accommodation for travellers. Would use again. Helpful staff and good nights sleep.

Reviewed By Brid BWe stayed for one night to break up our 8 hour drive. We got a friendly welcome from the receptionist who had good English. Room was clean and comfortable if a little too hot. It’s a short drive to the motorway and there ware plenty of restaurants nearby. It was just what we needed.

Hosts' houses of the Villa Richelieu can also be privatized on request as we rent a holiday cottage, for a weekend or longer: it is the opportunity to live a little of magic thanks to the atmosphere and to the decoration of living spaces.

Reviewed By rosinat68On arrival we were welcomed and shown to our rooms and they were clean and tasteful decorated. Unfortunately for us the beds were very low and hard, so we did not get the best of sleeps. The parking is very secure and easy to access. There is no on site restaurant so you have to go into the town but this a short distance and there is plenty on offer. The continental breakfast available at the hotel is of good quality but there is not much variety and is expensive for what it is.

Pulled up decided that we could go no further .paid for room .young guy in reception spoke English nice lad .down hill from there I've seen better tents room smelt of smoke.the plastic shower room and loo was coming away from wall air con so noisy we could not use traffic noise unbearable room window was open when we arrived and little nasty mossis had moved in several bites and a few hours sleep we left

Reviewed By tarka00I struggle to find the words to describe how awful this place is but will try to explain why I would give zero stars to this hovel. On driving into the car park at 5pm, no other vehicles there and I had a sense of foreboding as the building is three floors of motel-type rooms I'd guess from the 1960's. The reception is in a separate building which has a dining room and smelled of damp. A lady appeared from a back room, handed me a key and indicated the room was in the block next to the reception office. According to the weatherbeaten sign, my room was on the third floor. When I got there the floor was chained off with workmen in the rooms. Walk back to reception and reluctantly the lady showed me where my room was - number 28 situated next to room 54! On the ground floor. Front door opened into the bedroom. Sparsley furnished, stained mesh curtains, stained duvet cover, even the lampshade on the small table lamp was stained. Rusty heater on bedroom wall with a grubby stand-alone heater as replacement. Toilet with shower and bath, basic and grubby. After washing my hands, discovered that there were no towels! Another walk outside to reception where the strange unemotional lady handed me one bath towel. Only heating in the bathroom is an electric wall heater with an element (circa 1950's) I enclose some photos but nothing can show the reality of the grubbiness of this place. I'm surprised Campanile Hotels would want their name associated with this dump.
