Charleston Hotels | Places to Stay in Charleston

Historic Charleston is bursting with Southern charm and hospitality. The city feels a bit like it’s suspended in time, thanks to its antebellum architecture and surrounding plantation landscapes. Take in incredible views of the Battery and the French Quarter as you stroll the Waterfront Park, then become inspired by the cultivated beauty of the gardens at Middleton Place. At night, try a ghost tour for an introduction to the spooky side of the city.

Excellent hotel and location

Reviewed By marypjupiter

Customer service is above the norm. It was wonderful to wake each day with a picnic basket full of fresh baked goods and fruit at my door. The restaurant at the roof is delightful and staff so accommodating. Linens and kitchen amenities were wonderful. This is a hotel located between two buildings so the lower rooms are dark, but very comfortable.

Great Destination for Military Reunions

USS MILLS DER-383 held our 4 day annual reunion at the Town & Country Inn in May 2022. Location is very good; within the city limits of Charleston on the main thoroughfare. Accommodations were beyond expectation in every way. Rooms were modern, clean, easily accessed and reasonably priced for Charleston. There is a restaurant in the hotel that our crew used extensively. Hospitality room was perfect, it featured comfortable seating, was spacious and offered constant availability of water, ice, and ability to make coffee. Most importantly - Everyone our attendees made contact with was beyond professional, friendly and smiling. MILLS crew heartily recommends this facility for any need you have for an exceptional hotel.

A gem within walking distance of all you'll want to do!

Reviewed By ericpG5472QS

Brought my wife to Charleston to celebrate her 60th birthday and I needed a hotel that was going to make an impression and be within walking distance to popular attractions. The Andrew Pickney Inn delivered! First of all...the place is just beautiful! There are a lot of pretty hotels in town...but nothing looks like the Pickney! Our room was perfect with lots of very nice touches everywhere. We enjoyed the daily wine and cheese offerings that are perfectly timed between a busy day of sight seeing and dinner. The Pickney brought a story teller in one afternoon who charmed us with stories about the city and her personal experiences. We appreciated the frequent text messages from staff making sure we were happy with our room and offering assistance with anything we needed. Everyone was so nice when we encountered them in person! We had a lengthy list of spots we wanted to visit over the course of three days, and we never walked more than a mile to our destination. On most occasions...we were much closer than that! If you need a lift...bicycle taxis gather two blocks away...and you can book a carriage ride one block away. This is where you need to stay during your next visit to Charleston!
