We stopped here for lunch while hiking TMB. They had lots of delicious choices. Rosti , salads, sausage with egg dishesThere are places to eat inside or outside on the patio. The views are stunning. It was a little chilly. They had a roaring fire going inside. There were families coming for lunch that were not hiking as well. So there must be a road.

This is a magical slice out of a fairytale and my favourite place so far in the world!!! Everything is perfect, the personalised service, the small, delicate additions and touches that make it beautiful and precious. My now husband proposed here and I can't think of a lovelier place to say yes. Philippe himself is also very nice and has takes years to put together a little corner of perfection in the world. I can't wait to go back (once I save enough!). :-)

We stopped at Le Bistrot du Dahu for lunch twice during our vacation. Both times the restaurant was very quiet due to our timing. The food was very good and the service was attentive. Th portion sizes were good. Our group had a combination of burgers, steaks, salads, and soups - everyone happy. The crème brûlée was outstanding - don't miss it. We would certainly eat here again - and will!

This small cafe provided a lunch break on a snowy day in March. A difficult manoeuvre upstairs with low ceiling provided the location for lunch. Pizza and crepes were good and some crayons and paper were provided for the toddler while we waited. In summary good food for a reasonable price but it was a squeeze.

We chose this place as it was billed as a tapas bar though it offered other choices including the typical 3 course "menu" typical in French restaurants. Food was good especially the meat and cheese plate we started with. I had a veal entrée that was OK, but had not been trimmed well. We had a clearly junior waitress who struggled to get our order correct, but a woman who seemed to be an order checked with us frequently to make sure we had what we needed.

Best meal of our trip to Chamonix! Very friendly staff who spoke good english. Concise menu and all the food we ordered was outstanding quality, would especially the fillet steak with mushroom sauceThe pichet of local wine is also definitely worth a try!

you must want to eat cheese. other than that it was great, nice atmosphere and really good food but it's a small place and it's quite out of the way, so book ahead.

Make sure you book, as several parties had to be told to come back later. Quite cozy and down to earth. Decor a bit spartan and functional. Very comprehensive menu with a good selection of ânon localâ dishes. Good wine selection. The salads were very large and very good. Lamb chops were cooked exactly as requested, served with delicious home made chips (cross between wedges and crisps). The profiteroles were fantastic. Overall very good value for money.

It's mostly a bar so the food was on the burgers and omelettes part of the spectrum, but they were good burgers and omelettes. Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff.
