Simple but clean and friendly hotel
Reviewed By bigdude57A (too) late arrival in the autumn fog. The man behind the desk was still there to welcome us. Much appreciated. Clean room with all the necessities you need for a pit stop in town. The overwhelming breakfast will let you leave with a good feeling!

Hotel opened in August 2017 the hotel is situated in the city center. We have double and twin bed rooms, triple rooms and family rooms for 4. The bar is opened every day. We offer rooms for persons with reduced mobility with accessible shower. Animals are welcomed. A large offer of restaurants are proposed around the hotel. 10 minutes by car from the train station, 30 minutes by car from Vatry airport.
Certainly central, tricky navigation to the parking
Reviewed By NR16Hotel was picked as it was central with a choice of restaurants adjacent. Usual bland quirky Styles decor but excellent receptionists. There was a nice view of the square outside from the bedroom and it's well worth walking around the square to see the timber-framed buildings. The receptionist gave us a map to the parking under the hotel; the one-way system means going from the square outside the hotel to the park needs careful map reading. We only just found a space in the park, then all was well. The room was adequate if a little cold (first week October), but we think the heating was on according to the baffling AC controls. The price includes breakfast but not parking (€8) so the bill was €129. We had supper at Bourse, next door, where the barasserie style service was good and people were coming and going all the time. A recommended restaurant across the square was fully booked.

Properly freezing. I guess in summer that won’t matter. Room was…hmmm, average with a nice square view. But freezing. Did I tell you that? I turned the air con/heating on and noticed the last person had it on at 27C. The reason being, it didn’t work. Eventually i went to reception. She looked displeased. I said you are welcome to come and show me where I am going wrong. So, to be fair, she came to the room and proceeded to jab at buttons. She said it was fine and set it at 27C. It wasn’t blowing air. She said the room was at 27. I stated, no, more like 7. She said she would move us but all the rooms worked the same. So we stayed. I got up at 2am to go to the loo. My age you see. I couldn’t find my already small manhood because the cold had shrunk it even more! By 8am, the icicles had just about melted in the room. The worst thing though was having to shower the following morning and realising the towel was still soaking and freezing from the previous night. I would have thought a room at 27C would have dried and warned that. Stay again? No. Nein. Non. I nearly forgot to mention…the room has a safe. Obviously then are secured and tied down. Noooooo. I nearly took it for a walk for fun and put it in the bar. Ridiculous.

Reviewed By IrinaF49It was exactly as expacted. For 102 Euro we (2people) had a small room with a window to the front of the house. Check in and check out was friendly and quick. The service in english was allright. We did not us the restaurant. The bathroom was small with no window. Shampoo and a hairdryer was offered. Free wifi and parking. Sufficient for a stop on the way - its close to the motorway and 15 Min. to the city center by car. Would not use it to stay more then a night. But it was exactly what we needed as an overnight stop.

We were grateful to Jason who was running the place single-handed on a quiet Sunday night. He welcomed us and prepared our dinner which we enjoyed with a good bottle of wine. Reviewed By 143GordonBOur room was on the top floor and so the view was limited due to the windows being in the roof. It was a large room with a comfortable bed. The bathroom had a shower and a bath. Once whilst running the bath the water was brown. The water did eventually become clear. This did happen to another room. Breakfast was ok and gave us all that we wanted. Staff were ok. I parked my car outside the hotel both evenings and I paid €20 for 24 hours. I believe that there is a hotel car park. This was not mentioned when I checked in and I was actually quite happy parking where I was.

The Pasteur Hotel 4 stars since 9 august 2018 is a delightful one on in many ways. Set in a former convent, its pièce de résistance is a superb ornate 17th century staircase. Its fortuitous position in the centre of the town means that guests are able to enjoy a range of gastronomic delights in nearby restaurants, less than 10 minutes’ walk away. The nearest, Le Petit Pasteur, which adjoins the hotel is highly recommended. In summer’s heat the hotel’s shaded terrace is a must. 25 comfortably-appointed bedrooms and off-road parking within the inner courtyard. The Pasteur Hotel is a charming traditional independent hotel ; it is not part of a hotel chain
Great hotel, kid and prt friendly, in the Champagne area.
Reviewed By Gregg-BrusselsGem hotel close to the center of Chalons. Rooms are clean, well equipped, with airco. Possibility to have connecting rooms which is great for families. The service was lovely, kid and pet friendly. A true boutique hotel where the client satisfaction is the priority of the staff. Just an example among others: the owner knew that our son loved the lemon cake and a bag with a couple of slices was waiting for him at the checkout. The breakfast is a buffet, with home made and fresh products. Shaded parking area, which is great if your trunk is full of champagne boxes ?. I would recommend to book your spot ahead although we were lucky and got one on the spot. The hotel is at walking distance (10 mins) from the city center and restaurants. Count 50 minutes ride to Epernay and Reims.

Reviewed By mturit126120Clean and comfy hotel - togetehr with my family, I had a stopover on the way from the UK. As we arrived late at night, we were provided access info well in advance. The rooms are simple but clean. We started the morning with a nice breakfast.
