Check in early was no problem. Room was clean and quiet. The only gripe was low water pressure, other than that very satisfied. The grounds were neat and clean and the pool ready to go. The oaks were beautiful.

We have stayed at this establishment for several months now and have found friendly and helpful staff that go out of their way to resolve any issues that arise. Other guests are kind and willing to help anyone out. These are rare finds in 2021. We have throughly enjoyed our time here and the staff, amenities and other guests have really made our stay memorable and a blessing during a very personally challenging time. We would recommend to anyone in the area.

Just Don't.

First off, I did my homework. We travel budget largely and I've stayed in several "vintage" places from a long gone era. As it was one night and I had read the reviews- (the ones that are positive flummox me), I thought it would be fine. Not. The pros-walking into the "motel" part was full of nasty fumes, cleaning products and products to cover foul smells. Once in the room- it was difficult to breathe- very sharp cleaning fluid odor. The window (we really needed air to circulate) had a sign that said "Window is broken. Don't open. Is being fixed". In its favor the place though run down in furnishings was very clean and bug free. We always like that. Went into the bathroom to wash, turned on the water and it reeked from sulfur. It is likely well water and hit something foul. Couldn't shower, wash, used bottled water to brush our teeth. No coffee in the a.m. as we couldn't use the water in the kitchenette. We got in in the evening and though it was too late to find another place, we stayed, laughed at the "badness" of the situation (the decor is early insane asylum, mottled pink walls with very garish, childlike paintings) and drove 15 minutes to Catskill for dinner. Back at the room- there is no "cable tv"- it is all done by streaming and if you don't know how to do that, you are out of luck. So no tv. In the a.m., we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Suffice it to say, having stayed in both independent and often budget chains, the B and B lounge makes those look like palaces.

The Old Game Farm

Once considered America's greatest zoo, The Catskill Game Farm housed over 2,000 animals with tens of millions of people having visited during its 73 year history. Today you can stay on the abandoned property and explore what remains. You have two options for your visit. You can spend a night under the stars at one of our private upscale campsites. Or you can stay at our boutique inn, The Old Catskill Game Farm Inn.

Perfect for a group trip!

My friends and I booked all five rooms for New Years' weekend. Long Neck Inn and the abandoned zoo were perfect. We had such a fun time exploring the property and hanging out together in the inn. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals, and one of the dining room tables conveniently expanded to fit 10 people. It was like staying in a five bedroom Airbnb with countless extra amenities (morning coffee brewed for us, housekeeping, treats from the local market). Highly recommend Long Neck Inn to anyone, especially group travelers!
