I ordered the prix-fixe: two courses (spaghetti with clams and grilled chicken with a mixed salad) accompanied by half a litre of water and 1/4 litre of local red, which I split with my wife. For 12 euros that was a real bargain. She ordered a la carte, which is a bit more expensive. Everything was very tasty, and even with an espresso and a dessert added the total bill was a mere 35 euros. Highly recommended!

Durante più di sei mesi sono stato preparando un viaggio verso la Toscana per una settimana per 34 persone di Spagna (amici e famiglia), coincidendo con il 25 anniversario di matrimonio di cinque di noi. Una delle cene che avevo prenotato è stata in questo ristorante, che in realtà è un’antica azienda agricola famigliare di vigneti e olivi in mezzo al campo, diritta dalla carina Terreni Sabrina.
La cena fù un martedì sera dopo una giornata intensa per le strade di Firenze tra una moltitudine di turista. Il posto è dificile da trovare, sopratutto di notte senza conoscere le strade; dopo avere telefonato ci dovessero venire a trovare due ragazzi dell’azienda per accompagnarci lì. Il tratto è stato sempre eccellente. Il menú che abbiamo prenotato ci è piaciuto a tutti con una grande varietà di insalate e verdure ecologiche del suo orto personale, formaggi toscani con il miele e la marmelata di mora fatte da loro, continuato da casarecce (grani antichi toscani) al ragù di carne con i pomodori naturali, linguine alla creme di zucchine, buonissima torta della nonna fatta a casa, acqua, vino, rinfreschi, birra, caffè e quatro botiglie di spumoso per festeggiare il mio 25 anniversario di matrimonio, con il pensiero di un mazzo di fiori e un ornamento con candele di anniversario… tutto questo a 19 euro per persona.
Non si può mangiare meglio e con tratto così buono per la cara Terrina e tutto il personale che è stato con noi. Grazie mille.

The other well recommended place or lunch was closed so we tried here. We were the only customers on a Friday but no problem.. Staff (owners) were v friendly, chatting away about the recent earthquake even though our Italian is non- existant.. we managed! Food really good. Fresh and well cooked. Prices fair and the place was clean. What more do you want for lunch?
It would be good to see this place buzzing in the evening.

We've been in Italy for four days, and this is the best Italian food we've had to date. It's tucked away in the corner of one of the main plazas, and a little hard to see from the main road. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Menu items were listed in English, which was helpful.

After Reading reviews here we stopped for a pizza last week. Service very slow and we had to wait at least 20 minutes for a menu to become available. After we got the menu we waited another 15 minutes to order. Another long wait to receive pizzas. Pizzas so thin you could see through them and totally burnt around the edges. Even the children commented! Waitness ran off her feet but still managed a smile, her male colleague however needs a crash course in how to treat clients, especially when service is so slow. Cheap meal but still expensive given the quality of pizza served.

We visited this restaurant for lunch on our last day in Castelfiorentino. The chef explained the menu in detail and upon seeing that we wanted to have fish and seafood, he offered to put together antipasti and primi, some of which were not even on the menu. The food was excellent and the portions were ample. There were 3 types of dessert on the menu and we ordered the pannacotta and chocolate millefoglie to share between the four of us, having previously gone through three courses. We were wowed as the chef served the chocolate fondante soon after, despite us not having ordered it. This was simply divine and what's more, it was not added to the bill!
Definitely one of the best meals we had whilst on holiday in Tuscany.

Invitati per una cena di "lavoro" per una collaborazione fra Viola Club, abbiamo provato queste pizze, che mi davano l'idea di qualcosa di già visto... Ebbene sì, il vecchio pizzaiolo di Zimbo. Ho ritrovato la stessa qualità, le pizze di una grandezza più piccole di quelle classiche ma ben cariche di ingredienti, e poi il fenomenale calzone con il peperoncino intero nascosto dentro. Uno spettacolo!
