This is a place that I have eaten several times and never had anything less than an excellent meal.Private room with very festive decoration. The food was all good, but a special mention to the Bisque d‘Homard and the Tournedos Rossini. Meat is always good here, but this time it was particularly succulent and tender. Bravo!Great wines and friendly and efficient service.Highly recommend, as ever!

Rathauskeller

After a lacklustre visit to Kunsthaus Zug, we really needed a morale boost. We found it at the Rathauskeller. Fresh, very local fish from the Zugersee and old classics are services with competence and care. One can't go wrong here. Strong wine list too, with Swiss bottles, some of which are quite rare and very interesting.

I was visiting on business in Zug and came here for a burger and drink at around 15:00. Only other two tables were busy.My experience was average, good burger, average beer and professional waiting on a restaurant that probably made some rich architect even richer.Soulless, but ideally located next to the train station and perfect if you are waiting for the train.Dear Stefano AThank you for your review. We are happy to hear, that your experience matched your expetctations. The restaurant is during the holiday-season not that croweded as usually. Hope you enjoyed the quiet, sunny place next to the trainstation. We are happy to welcoming you again at Pier41.Your Pier41-Team

Hinterburgmuhle

Located in the countryside and still only 15-minute driving from Zug, this restaurant offers a friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. And in spite of the quite traditional pitched roof house, you will be surprised by the fancy interior! The food choice is not huge but extremely appealing. We tried three different starters and they were all delicious and beautifully served. The trout, however, that seems to be the house specialty (s far as I understood, they have their own farming), was quite disappointing. I found it too rare for my tastes and not particularly tasteful. But this seems to have been my problem as the rest of my family liked it.For Swiss standards, the bill was not too bad.
