We eat at Krone regularly. It's a very cozy place, with excellent and fresh food. The family that runs it is very hospitable and friendly. Food is authentic and reasonably priced. Their take away is also great, high quality and great taste.Best choice for Indian food in Rapperswil!

We were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff and were seated straight away. The food took a while however that was understandable ordering one of the biggest sharer platters on the menu and we were also told by the waitress that we would have to wait, so no bad surprises there. The food arrived sooner than expected and was absolutely delicious! Very happy with the variety of the platter, value for money and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Would 100% recommend this place.

I went here for lunch today with a friend and I was pleasantly surprised.We opted for the lunch time buffet, which offered a choice of 6 main dishes, plus salad and rice. Not a huge number of dishes, but there was good variety (chicken, beef, fish and vege) and everything we tried was excellent and very freshly prepared.Restaurant was lovely with a nice outdoor seating area.Easy and free parking all along the street was another bonus.Our meals were only CHF23.50 each and that included a drink, so overall it was good value.

Being of Punjabi descent I have come to realize than Indian restaurants in Switzerland do not serve authentic Indian food, rather watered down, over sweetened, too creamy, swissifed dishes that resemble stews more than curries. Having been disappointed at most Indian restaurants I decided never to frequent one again.My wife on the other hand, being of Swiss origin, never fails to suggest new places. This time I succumbed and we drove to Ruti for a lunch buffet priced at CHF 18. For those of you who've never lived in Switzerland, this is an unbelievable price, especially considering it's a buffet! Most lunch dishes cost 18 chuffs and up, and that's just for a plate.The décor of the restaurant is very Indian. There are lots of Indian artifacts and decoration pieces. It's cozy, warm and welcoming.We were swiftly ushered to our reserved table by Somi, a pleasant waiter from Pakistan. He served us our drinks, Kingfisher for me, and asked us to continue to the buffet.The buffet itself is beautifully presented with all foods served in gorgeous traditional brass (pital) dishes. There were 2 starters of consisting of pakoras and vegetable vadas served with a couple of chutneys. For the main dishes there were 3 vegetable dishes, alu gobi (cauliflower & potato), khumb matter (mushroom & peas curry), alu sabzi (potato curry), daal, and chicken korma. Accompanying the mains on the buffet were pickles, salads and rice. Rotis (chapati) were served at our table freshly made straight from the kitchen.The food was of very good quality. While the chilies were kept to a minimum, the dishes were adequately spiced and tasted authentic. p.s. Chili relish is available on the buffet. I was very pleasantly surprised. To be honest, I have been spoilt growing up as both my mother and father are outstanding Punjabi cooks. While the food here obviously cannot compare to my home food, it was much better than expected.Dessert was a lovely chocolate mousse, not Indian I know, but a refreshing palette cleanser after the curry meal.Somi was also a fantastic waiter who took genuine interest in us and made us feel at home.Taking into account the price of only CHF 18, this place is outstanding.During dinner their buffet is priced at CHF 38 but also offers twice as many dishes on the buffet as what is served at lunch. Furthermore, they also offer an à la carte menu in the evenings, which is not available at lunch.I am really happy that my wife pushed me into going here as it'll be a place I will frequent regularly. It's a lovely short drive from where we live with ample parking bang opposite at the post office.Price: checkQuality: checkService: checkAmbiance: checkAccessibility: checkThanks very much and see you soon again! Maybe not cheap, but you are in Switzerland! Food is delicious and nicely prepared. Always call in advance if they are open, they usually close in October for a couple of days!For those who like to come back, they offer a kind of bonus card, ask for it.

This place is amazing! The hotel Speer was an average stay snd the redtaurant was hardly frequented, until the concept changed some 7 years ago. The owner focused on the hotel and sublet the restaurant, and since then its packed. The food is nice but rather expensive! The service has room for improvement ;)

We had a Thai restaurant at our resort which was booked every night so we took to TripAdvisor and found this splendid surprise!!! Wonderful food, amazing service (possibly the friendliest in Switzerland?!). We were greeted and seated by the owner who is both gracious and enthusiastic. After a lovely dinner and desert we had an unexpected wait as 2 Uberâs cancelled and the owner made us comfortable and gave us drinks while we waited for our driver. First class food. First class people!

Situated right next to the Kinderzoo, this beautiful restaurant is a real discovery. It has a great terrace overlooking the animals and the lake. Decoration inside is very tasteful.The food is really excellent. For some of our friends with a little too much Swissness in it, meaning not spicy enough. For others, it was perfect. Nice and efficient service.
