Gennersbrunnerhof is one of my old favorite country restaurants in Schaffhausen. Set a little outside the city in the most gorgeous country setting it's great in summer or winter. The winter option inside the wood paneled room with a huge tiled oven for heat is stunning and you feel the countryside in the atmosphere. The food is fabulously prepared by owner Stefan Gauss in the true Country kitchen style with big portions and delicious flavours. Try the liver and rÃ¶sti it's out of this world!!In summer, lunch is served under the big trees in the Garden. Great service, and excellent value for money.

had a few beers and light meal here. The very nice ladies working the bar were not versed in english and my German is terrible, we all had a good laugh and sorted it out, then they proceeded to take great care of my beer and food requirements. I would suggest this place as a great casual place to hang out, with a relaxed atmosphere. The menu appeared to be light meals and snacks to complement your favourite beverage. I very much enjoyed the atmosphere, architecture, and service.
