A dependable old favourite of ours Santa Lucia in Wettingen is a reliable know-what-you're-going-to-get, no fuss favourite. They have a fairly wide ranging menu but the most popular is the pizzas. Nothing fancy, but tasty, freshly made pizzas from a wood oven. The staff are very friendly, especially if you are also and the ambience is warm, usually filled with talkative voices, a little louder than is found in your usual Swiss restaurants. Santa Lucia is generously proportioned with a large amount of tables and seating which extends outside in good weather. A wonderful place to share a meal with your family and friends, or equally to complete a business discussion.I highly recommend it.Dear Val J,This is great! I went with three friends to Grosser Alexander while staying in Baden. We had such an great meal. The risotto with prawns was so delicious! Desserts were likewise great, and I recommend the pistachio gelato. The whole night, we were very well cared for by the entire staff who were super friendly and helped with some translation questions we had. I was there with two girl and I couldn't enjoy my dinner since the waiters were continuously bothering us with silly questions just for talking with my two friends.Food quality is almost acceptable but quantities are so tiny that you have to order more and more making the bill explode.If you want to have some privateness and relax don't go there.

Great people hosting, lovely restaurant in a cosy side street. They always serve something AUTHENTIC as an appetizer from their part of Italy, which is not in the menu. Food is delicious. They really make you feel welcome by taking care of your special demands. Always a great experience!

In comparison to the other Italian offerings in Wettingen and Baden, Da Luigi is my personal favourite. What it lacks in bling it more than makes up for in quality of food!The pizzas here are "reasonably" priced (compared with the general prices of food in Switzerland) and its the quality and preparation of the food that is the reason that you come here to eat. Almost as if you were in Italy. (I did say almost!)The ambience is of a family run business in a cosy small atmosphere adorned with kitsche decorations. The service is expedient albeit a mish-mash of Italian and Swiss-German, which adds to the "flavor" of the place! The large parking around the back makes for easy access.Everytime I eat here it seems to be in the progress of filling up with more and more locals popping in and out. A perfect place for your after-work friends to meet up and have a great meal, with some cheap wine and great conversation.Highly recommend it.

An other good italian restaurant in Baden. Tiny and cozy. I tried panzerotti and they were excellent, a bit spicy as it should. Others had pizza and claimed very good. The place is very tiny, occasionally noisy, and that adds a bit of fun. Good service and chat.

Business diner with other colleagues. Italian restaurant with italian style and italian waiters...The menù shows italian recipes, which indeed seems adapted to local tastes once the dish is on the table. The restaurant would be in the average, in taly, but here is of high quality. Prices are high, in line with the expensive switzerland. Some prices totally out of range, wine in particular. What to say, it's a recommended place if people is running dry of spaghetti...
