Le Clos Tranquille - Camping

Very simple but excellent accommodation considering the price

Reviewed By Daniel S

We stayed for one night as a stopover traveling home. We were accommodated in a little house (not a trailer) which was clean, sufficiently maintained and quiet with simple, modern, inexpensive interior. The service was friendly and spoke English. Cabourg and other attractive locations can be reached by car. The accommodation is worth the price if you clean yourself (not much work after one night) and bring your own sheets (we had sheets that we used in our holiday accommodation). We will use this location again when traveling back from vacation.

Camping des Rochers des Parcs

We are delighted to welcome you to our Campsite, « our house ». Our main priority is to be able to offer a very well-maintained place, to share real moments with you, to do our best to welcome you. Our philosophy : to give priority to human relations,  to advise you on the area, to welcome people and not customers. Located beside the river, a calm, peacefull and quiet place, the destination is also one of Normandy's best playgrounds for nature sports enthusiasts: fishing, mountain-biking, paragliding, climbing, canoening and kayaking....A favorite spot for Nature Lovers. We accept your comments (positive and negative ones) but we want to let you know that we welcome you at home to make you discover our destination, make your stay happy and confortable and not to judge you. Our best regards

Stressful management ...

Reviewed By froideval

Although this typical accommodation is well maintained and located in a beautiful scenery of Clécy, management is a BIG issue. We got yelled at several times by one of the employee, very aggressive. It is not an isolated incident as you can read similar comments in the past few years. This should never happen, no matter what circumstances, and no matter what customer. Communication skills are key in tourism. I would STRONGLY suggest receptionists of this place to follow classic 101 classes in communication (customers relationship, marketing, ...). All in all, I would NOT recommend this campground.

Don’t bother if you want to use the swimming pool

We came here originally with our grandchildren, which it is very good for younger children but we had to pay £35 each for a swimming band. We originally went to the pool for a swim on our first day to be told we needed to book in advance. So we did for the next day. The weather had been so good so we went to the beach etc but when we got back thought it would be nice to have a swim 24 hours later which was full. I was stood at the swimming pool and asked if I could just jump into cool down but was also told it was full. As I explained to the staff at least 15 people had left so how could it be full the response was because it is. On the whole most staff are pleasant but the swimming pool staff are surly and bit very helpful I expected better service from such a brand named Siblu clearly very mistaken

Complete rip off!

Reviewed By Sunshine26803820675

Please please could someone justify the application of a charge for ‘frais de dossier’ of €15 on a one-night booking for a pitch for my motor home? My stay cost €37 for an arrival - pre advised to the Campsite - at circa 20h30, in the dark, to be allocated a pitch in a very poorly lit section where it was impossible to see the pitch numbers, and a departure at 07h00 the following morning. To add insult to injury, the barrier at the entrance was broken. But instead of making this clear on the pitch allocation paper, it was only apparent when arriving in front of it, at which point reversing a 8.5m motor home in the dark, to try to find the exit barrier, was by no means an easy experience. When you book a hotel room for one night you are not required to pay a supplement for ‘frais de dossier’. So what justification is there for levying this charge on a one-night campsite booking? Frankly I am appalled by this experience, and I shall think long and hard before repeating it. Basically I feel that I have been ripped off!

Wonderful site

Reviewed By GaryD26

We had a two week holiday in one of the camp static homes here. The site is the best we have ever visited, so neat and tidy with a fantastic accommodation just right for us. Everything was so very clean and tidy too. The site is family managed and it shows that they really care about all visitors and look after their customers. There’s a quite small bar, a shop for essentials and a covered pool. Even a water slide for the kids. The location is spot on around 12 minutes to Bayeux and the same to the Normandy beaches. Lots to se and do in the surrounding area. We can not recommend this site highly enough ?
