Calistoga Bed and Breakfast Inns | Places to Stay in Calistoga

April 19, 2023 Malia Yoakum

Here’s your day in Calistoga: Yoga. Massage. Spa lunch. Hike. Wine-tasting. Facial. Mud bath. Gourmet dinner (with more wine). Dip in a mineral pool. Does it get more relaxing than a spa town built around natural springs in the middle of wine country? We don't think so.

Warm, hospitable, and EXTREMELY relaxing getaway!

Kurt and Steve are amazing hosts! We are return visitors and it feels more like being warmly welcomed as guests in someone’s home rather than a typical corporate and impersonal hotel experience. Pool and spa are warm, rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. From the moment we set foot on the grounds to the moment we leave, it’s nothing but pure relaxation. We made plans to return before even leaving!

Upon arriving at Aurora Cottages the Office was empty and I started to wonder who would help us. Nearby, the groundskeeper got a hold of the office personnel for us without a problem and showed us to our cottage. The room was clean, plenty of clean towels and soaps and such. The atmosphere was pleasantly quiet and the trees and floral well taken care of. Great Stay!

Our stay at Embrace was, once again, perfect! The accommodations were comfortable and the atmosphere is quaintly spectacular. The very, very best part of our 3 day stay, was our most gracious host, Chris. Oh, how he spoiled us! The conversations and delicious wine and cheeses in the evening we’re so fun. And the frosting on top….the specially prepared breakfasts. Five stars, all around! Thank you Brent and Chris for your most welcoming ways!

Convenient

Good location along Main Street. Large outdoor dining area. Nice selection of draft beers. The food was ok, the service not overly attentive. We were promised some bread along with water/drinks. The bread never made it to our table. Shared a starter and a pizza. The pizza carne had a ton of mozzarella and very little of all the other toppings mentioned on the menu. The atmosphere along with live music makes up for the lack of attention to detail.

Great little Inn! Just stayed a night for business. The room was simple but very nice and clean. They think of everything with nice snacks in your room, bottled water, peppermint patties in the refrigerator and a nice coffee maker with everything you need.

Charming little inn in quiet Calistoga. We were greeted by Nick as soon as we pulled in. He directed us to our room. Upon entering the care of the owners for their guests’ comfort was evident. There were so many snacks and thoughtful amenities (eye masks, earplugs, toiletries, hair dryer). The home is just a quick walk to the downtown area. Highly recommend trying to book a room here!

A new favorite place. Quiet, cozy, private room. Fireplace is a big plus. Easy walk to great dining, friendly staff, lots of nearby wineries. We usually stay further down the valley but that is all changed. Will be going back often. Can’t wait to visit again.

Staying at the Bear Flag Inn was a very pleasant experience. The hosts were friendly and they provided each morning a very delicious (and each day different) breakfast. We stayed in the cottage as a party of three; and the pull out couch was comfortable too. I highly recommend to stay at this place, it makes you forget time and place.

Very Enjoyable Inn

Reviewed By forsnow

We have stayed at the Trailside in twice in the past six months. Both times, our stay in the Dutch Henry suite has been very enjoyable. The accommodation is spacious, well outfitted, and charmingly decorated. The kitchen has everything one needs to prepare simple meals (which we did). The beds are very comfortable. The living area has two overstuffed chairs, a large flat screen TV, and a nice gas fireplace (which was good to use on our last stay when weather was bad). The Inn keeper provides freshly baked muffins or banana bread, along with a fruit tray, and a bottle of wine each day, which is a nice touch. The grounds are well kept, with a pool and a hot tub. The place has a 1940ies feel to it, which we like very much. We'll stay here again.
