We are trying to learn about different food options in Japan before we head over there on a trip later this year. We really enjoyed our lunch here - good selection of Bento Box lunches for $10.50. Good sized portions and includes soup, salad and rice. Service was very good. Busy place at lunch time, and this was on a Monday! We will be going back to try other options We are not in to Sushi, but LOTS of other folks were eating it when we were there. Everything seems to be prepared to order I had the combo of Chicken Teriyaki and Pork Katsu - both very good and ample portions. Spouse had the Shrimp Tempura and was not all that happy with her selection - plenty of food, but only one shrimp and a variety of veggies in tempura batter, including sweet potato, carrot, broccoli. Her Gyoza were good. Will also likely try them at dinner hour - looks like a very busy lunch spot. Surprised there are not more reviews. Hope I did not mess it up for the 'regulars' by posting thin review

We ordered 3 different rolls (mango crunch, 49er roll, and one other) fried rice, edamame, and miso soup. The rolls were tasteless as well as the fried rice. The miso soup was just ok and luke warm. The edamame was not cooked properly so it was hard to pop out the bean and they arrived cold vs hot. The only thing I enjoyed was the ginger they served which was very good. The size of the rolls were too large which dilutes any sauce/flavor and so you mostly fill up from the rice. Sorry Senro but I'm 1/2 Japanese and the food just didn't cut it tonight. Maybe it was just an off day.

As a self proclaimed sushi and Sashimi connoisseur, I have enjoyed many Japanese restaurants, but none as consistently as fresh an Sakura. " Tony make anything for you" is the chef's motto; however, his regular 2 dozen menu options can be easily modified to fit your satisfaction. His traditional Japanese food is great as well, but his magic to sushi is " I buy every morning and if it is not fresh , I don't buy it". His portion size is more generous than anyone. If you like oysters, he makes great oysters and hand picks them himself. You will love it!

Our first visit for dinner and we were not disappointed. Extensive menu with fresh items. Our Bento Box selection had generous portions. Service was outstanding, prices reasonable. They did not have a wide selection of sake however.

I like this restaurant. Been coming here for a while and here are a few positive things:1) happy hour before 6:00 PM. Drinks and some meals are 30-50% off.2) Ice cream/sherbert at end of meal - complimentary3) atmosphere is pleasant...can either come here with a group or by yourself. 4) décor - big sake bottles by the entrance and the help wear traditional kimonos. cant beat it.
