I was eager to est a great steak so I went to West. I have eaten there many times and it is one of my favorite restaurants. Waiting staff are friendly and helpful as always. My NY strip came with asparagus, which were big sized, tender and crisp but not too crisp with a wonderful hollandaise sauce, I asked for on the side. My steak seemed small and thin, not like how I remember. It was so tender and tasty but it was not a "sit up and look thick NY strip."Well perhaps it was an off night

After a great experience in Bobs by DFW we decided to stay at La Costa resort and have dinner for our anniversary at Bobs but didn't really go so well. Lovely restaurant even if bit dark, crazy expensive corkage fee but can be eliminated if you buy a half bottle from there menu which worked out. Service was good and crab cakes we found out were dungeness crab and were fabulous.But the steam we were sharing came out undercooked first time so the took it back and second time the same. A manager stepped in and 3rd time was fantastic, great cut but disappointing with 2 strike outs, sides were nice also and fortunately we had plenty of wine. But I messed up and didn't advise of shrimp allergy so my partner was violently ill most of the night, when leaving the staff were very apologetic and did investigate but not best communication.

The steaks were fine. Everything was - as is usual with steakhouses - overpriced. I give serious negative grades to the awful tables and settings. The tables were the kind you'd find in a cheap and shabby restaurant. At a bare minimum, there should be placemats on the tables: the very shop worn formica tables (chipped edges, worn out surfaces) were like what you would expect in a dump. I found it shocking that there weren't tablecloths. It's not as if the tables were beautiful. As I said, the tables were beat up, damaged and downright shabby. The terrible tables are enough to not recommend this restaurant; I certainly would not return.

Steaks will not disappoint. Have not had a bad experience in this location ever. Recent visit, steak cooked to perfection, prime rib beautifully medium rare. Only drawback, if you want to have a conversation, is that it is very, very noisy. Peanuts on table nice. Rolls are fresh and hot, but a little sweet. Butter is also sweeten, so if you want regular butter, you will need to ask for it. Good food at good price.

We've been a few times and the only reason we go back is that its close to home.Given the price point ($21-45) the food is mediocre. The decor is drab and old. The wine list is not the best and the alcohol selection seems to be what your parents drank in the 1970's.Two times ago I had the chicken with mushroom sauce and it came out with a piece of plastic in it. Not good.Last night I had a chicken, bacon burger and it was horrible. The chicken was rubbery and was tiny. The BBQ sauce was non-existent and the overall flavor was bland. Despite the fact that I only took one bite the bartender didn't ask if I was happy with it. Obviously not. But I didn't want to complain.The only thing that seems to be consistently good is the salad "bar" which comes with the regular meals.Otherwise, I'd go somewhere else and pay a few bucks more and get better quality and better atmosphere. I don't think we'll go back.
