I spent quite a bit of time during my trip to find a really good Indian restaurant. There were only 5 reviews, so I was sceptical. I definitely made the right choice. Fantastic buffet with excellent food matched by outstanding service and a great atmosphere. Clean place with a nice storefront right in front of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy model in downtown Hawthorne. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Robbie (the owner?) says: "Have no fear, Robbie is here!" I would agree.Thank you so much for your visit and a great review about indiaâs Tandoori. Reviews are really helpful for us to find out what customers are saying about the food and service.Hopefully see you soon again.Thanks.

Staying at a a nearby hotel, I was looking for good carry-out. Hummus House has a great website set up for easy ordering.I was able to park right outside the front door. When I went inside, I was immediately greeted and was told my food was being prepared and would be ready shortly (I was a tad early). The food was carefully packed with extra napkins and plastic cutlery before I asked for them - extra points for that!I made two meals out of: Greek salad, samosas, lentil soup, and beef kebab. The food was delicious - a tiny bit on the spicy side, but I like spicy ... it was just one notch above my expectation. Second meal was still tasty, though these items are best when fresh, and microwaving doesn't do any favors.There were plenty of tables in the restaurant had I chosen to order in instead.Friendly staff paying attention to detail ... delicious food.

It was closing time when we called them to go in. They said to come anyway. They were gracious and pleasant . The food was emormous portions at low prices. Amazing! We were amazed!It is in a shopping center and parking is easy.

Of all the eateries in the area, a quick check of TripAdvisor made this one look the most likely to provide a good meal. Thus after a day at the corporate headquarters I popped in for dinner on my way back to my hotel. I was indeed pleasantly surprised; for a strip mall restaurant, the Mashawi Grill is not a good place for a quick meal, it is also a good bargain for the amount and quality of food served.I had the trip-tip and chicken shawarma combo meal. Served with hummus, rice pilaf, bread, and vegetables, it was really too much for one person to eat alone. In fact, I was so pleased with my first meal there that I came back on another night during my trip.A word of safety advice: while the restaurant itself is perfectly safe, the parking lot seems to attract some rather shady characters who appear to prowl between vehicles in the evening. Be sure to lock your car an not leave any valuables in it - just in case.
